We stopped here for lunch with a small tour group. Lunch from wicker picnic baskets on the lawn was just great. We then had a wine tasting with guidance from the owner I think. No snobbery here just some outstanding wines including a port (sorry port style) that was so smooth. The Pinotage was exceptional. We would have liked to have bought a few cases but limited it to 6 bottles due to luggage weight limits. Its back in the UK now, all safe & sound.

This venture has a new way. A nice selection of traditional south african wines in a fine venue.

Nice enough place to stop off at if you're passing, the wines are fine if not exciting. On a sunny day it's lovely to order a few bits from the tapas-style menu and sit on the lawn and have a couple of glasses!

Living in Oudtshoorn we regularly visit Karusa to buy our wine "supply". We started buying at Karusa after a visit to the Cheese Festival in George and have been hooked since then. Our favorite is the Sauvignon Blanc. 2010 and now the 2011. We highly recommend it.
