The tour was really a unique experience!
We really enjoyed the tour with Devey and his little meerkat friends!
Devey was really nice and provided us with a lot of interesting facts about meerkats and everything else happining in this area.

It was a one of a kind experience to sit just 2-3 meters in front of the meerkats and see them poping up when the first sunbeams come up. If we ever come around this place again we certainly would do the tour again!!!
:)

Thanks and send our wishes to all the meerkats and especially Molly the rebell!
:)

R2700 for a family of 6 - you must be kidding! We are at the end of a 3 week holiday in SA and have been thrilled with the tremendous value the country has to offer but not in this occasion. There is no transport ( believe it or not you meet the guy at the side of the road!) and then you literally sit in a field for an hour and then up pops 11 admittedly cute Meerkats but I can't imagine they are that rare! R100 would be fair given there was no transport and no real catering ( for this exorbitant price you'd have thought full English not Luke warm coffee. ) the guy spent more time demonstrating his near offensive sexism but then again ... It takes all sorts. If meerkats mean that much then you pay your money but ... If you think £270 is a lot to sit around in a cold field listening to some very dubious information then this is probably the tour for you. By the way - according to our guide meerkats always eat their young - if that was true there simply wouldn't be meerkats - it must be fiction!

All in all R550 per person to sit in a field and only see the actual meerkats for 15 mins! It was a good experience but completely and utterly overpriced. And for the money you would expect more than meeting him on the side of the road and being made to follow and one measly cup of coffee! If you want a worthwhile experience then go to cango caves for only R69! Completely overpriced!

An adventure to experience meerkat society and an insight to understanding their behaviour, which would not be possible but for Devey of Meerkat Adventures -his passion for these creatures and his perserverence in keeping tracks on them and trying to conserve these creatures, his patience in being
accepted by them all allowed us a rare and unique VISIT with these delightful creatures which will last in our memories for ever.

Having been let down by Meerkat Magic who we had paid R800 up front, we visited the local Tourism office to complain. They told us they no longer had dealings with Meerkat Magic due to numerous complaints and regular unreliability. They gave us details of another Meerkat trip run by Meekat Adventures. Unlike Meerkat Magic who insist on a deposit up front, Meerkat Adventures take no money until after the visit and only when Meerkats have been seen. We spent a wonderful early morning with the sun rising in the background, watching the Meekats with Devey Glenister who is very knowledgeable on the subject and who allowed us to take photographs and even emailed photos he had taken, to us after the visit at no extra charge. Early morning tea/coffee was provided as were chairs to sit and observe from. Camera and Binoculars are a must and also try not to drink too much liquid before the visit as obviously there are no toilets and the visit is quite lengthy. A wonderful memory of South Africa - something I'll never forget. Thank you Devey.
