Our last lunch at Jemima´s was disappointing. The food is average and not what it promises in the menue. My Morrocan couscous had very little spices and my husbands deli burger was not served as described in the menu on a roosterkoek but on a very boring white breadroll and the huge heap of too spicy potatoskin chips were not very deli either. Above average but not up to scratch for a prize winning restaurant !

Picked this restaurant from a rival tour guide's recommendation list and were not disappointed. The idea had been to have a snack lunch and we picked from the light bite menu. Be careful what you wish for! The portions were enormous and very tasty. A one course meal for four with wine, coffee and a tip still worked out at less than £30. This cannot be considered robbery.

Very disappointed with an evening which we were looking so forward to.
Mussel started was more like mussel soup - a couple of large mussels in a lemon broth. The risotto with the main duck dish was very bland.
Service was almost non-existent - 35 minutes for our dessert to arrive and the restuarant was not that busy. The one creme brûlée was not smooth inside but looked like scrambled eggs.
The manager never came to ask how we were enjoying the evening and for a restuarant that was once rated in the top 10 in SA it was an overall unacceptable performance by the team at Jemimas.

I really enjoyed dining here. The food was excellent and we came away wishing we had more time so we could eat there once more. A must do when visiting Oudtdhoorn.

The food was good, but when I came to the restaurant i was told that they ran out of beef, lumb, duck and some desserts. The whipped cream in my dessert was sour.
