The Yotclub came as a recommendation from friends and what a great choice we made! A wonderfully friendly reception and a perfect setting made our short visit memorable. My only regret is that we could not stay longer! Our room was excellent, the gardens teemed with bird life and our breakfast could not have been better. Many thanks.

From the time you walk into the Yotclub B & B you are transported into that timeless and wonderful ambience created by the owners. A beautifully renovated old home looking over the magnificent garden and the river that is a bird-lover's paradise.
The Yotclub is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops in Oudtshoorn, so evenings are a pleasure.
The breakfast offered by the owners is the best I have experienced in all my travels staying at B & Bs.
You won't be sorry that you stayed here.

We ( 2 adults and 1 child) arrived late evening and were greeted by the hostess Liz with a warm welcome. Rooms was spotless, we had the run of the house. Location in the centre of town, by the river was beautiful and to top it off breakfast was one of the best ever and included some of the freshest and tastiest fruit. We would have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this B&B.

This is the second time we have visited the Yotclub.
When we return to South Africa from Australia, we always travel the Garden Route, either after visiting Cape Town or alternatively, on the way to Cape Town from Port Elizabeth.
In our view, a really scenic alternative to the N1 National Road to Cape Town is to turn off at George and take the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Then continue through Calitzdorp and Ladismith on the R62, following the road through Barrydale back on the N1 just before Swelledam.
We were intruduced to the Yotclub by friends and co-travellers some four years ago whilst doing just such a trip.
At that time, we all enjoyed the warm friendly service provided by Des and Liz White, the wonderfully comfortable accommodation, the relaxing atmosphere and picturesque scenery from the swimming pool, across the river valley below.
This time was no different.
We noted the impressive extentions which have been done since last we visited. The thoughtful design in no way compromises the old world charm of the original residence.
The delicious hot breakfast combined with fresh fruit and cereal also remains pleasantly in our memory.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

The house has a beautiful garden. It feels like you are out in the country. The owners have "before" and "after" pics that are amazing - I have a huge amount of respect for what they have achieved in renovating the house and the garden. When I looked back at my holiday photos, I realized that I took an excessive amount of photos there compared to anywhere else.

Besides the garden, the hospitality and the breakfasts were first class. You are treated well and spoiled with home made breads and good service.

The rates are reasonable.

I don't have anything negative to say.

We were recommended here, and rightly so. The house is perched on top of the river bank in Oudtshoorn, with magnificent ivews to the Swartberg mountains in the far distance, and with sweeping lawns down to the river. The house is reasonably old - built in the 1930s, and has been burnished to perfection. The smell of beeswax for the floors and the tables was lovely.

Our room was an annexe attached to the main house, reached by a separate entrance, and facing the river and the mountains, so beautiful views from your bedroom. Spotlessly clean, and very comfortable - you disappeared into the bed, and the duvets were thick and fluffy. It was cold whilst we were there, but there is an air conditioning unit in the room.

Des and Liz made us very welcome. Liz is the gardener, and the grounds are beautiful. Des had lots of local knowledge, and was very helpful with where to eat, visit, etc - two local restaurants nearby are excellent - 'Kalinka', which is Russian owned, and 'Jemima's, also very good.

Cooked breakfast next morning was excellent, with a good selection of fruit and cereal in addition to the full English. The service was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We were also well placed for the Cango caves, Vrede waterfall, and the Swartberg Pass, all not far away.

The Yotclub B&B is situated in the centre of Oudtshoorn, in a quiet lane within a few minutes walk of leading restaurants & shops.
This is a fabulous place to stay and on the road which leads to the Cango Caves, the Cango Wildlife Park and the Cango ostrich farm.
We were given a very warm and hearty greeting by the owner Des, who took the time to show us round his beauitful establishment.
Our twin room was tastefully and elegantly furnished and we were made to feel very welcome.
The garden is absolutely amazing and the photos do not do it justice.
The breakfast was amazing and Liz's home made bread was a special treat
This was a wonderful place to stay and I would higly recommend it.
