“Cape Point Vinyard”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

Best kept secret in the Noordhoek valley, excellent wine and beer, outstanding food and one of the most beautiful setting on earth. A place for the whole family to have fun. They have just opened again for the summer months.

“Nice view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

Been there once for wine tasting, very nice. People lounging under the massive tent, people sitting on the grass having picnics, very nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. You have to buy the picnic food there which I found was a bit expensive.

“Best value in the Cape Town area - unmissable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

I first visited Cape Town Vineyard last October and had an excellent experience.

On the first visit we tried wine tasting in the main building and enjoyed an excellent platter of local cheeses. Matthew - the sommelier - was excellent and knowledgeable regards the wines and unlike many vineyards this was not a "stuffy" experience where you can be made to feel ignorant by a "PHD/Professor" of wine.

We returned two weeks later to find the picnic area had opened - about a mile from the main building.

Excellent food and wine again, able to lay out on cushions and blanket (supplied by the vineyard) on the grass with a plentiful and tasty fresh hamper of cheeses and meats served whilst enjoying the amazing view of rolling vineyards, Noordhoek beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

It was almost heartbreaking to leave such a lovely place.

Sometimes you find a business that you root for as they go the extra mile to give you excellent experience and value for money - this is one of them.

Thank you Cape Point Vineyard and especially thank you Matthew.

(As I recall all access is stroller and wheelchair access friendly)

“Sunday Market - a great day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

The Sunday Market at Cape Point Vineyards is fantastic! Take your picnic blanket and spread out on the lawn overlooking the dam or Noordhoek beach beyond, or grab one of the many tables laid out. The market is well laid out giving everyone space to roam and browse the variety of food stands - everything from vegan cakes to burgers. You can also purchase one of their picnic baskets and they have a few different options to choose from depending on your preference. Gentle music is played making for an all round relaxing and fun atmosphere. There's a jungle gym for the kids and a separate smokers corner, so it seems everyone is catered for. Bathroom facilities are good and maintained throughout the day. Plenty of parking available too.
This was a well organised and fun day out for all ages - made even better by a sunny wind-free autumn day. Highly recommended.

“Scenery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

We visited here on Easter Sunday, and there was a big Easter Bunny celebration on, so, unfortunately we weren't able to undertake a wine tasting or sample any food, as there was a big BBQ for the ticket holders at the celebration!!
We were however able to purchase a bottle of wine, and go and sit at the lake, and take in the views, and believe me, it's worth a visit to this place just to sit by the lake and take in the scenery.....breathtaking!!
