This restaurant (more a bistro) shares space with a deli that sells tempting home-made breads and croissants, as well as produce from the area. Also on display are some of chef-owner Franc Dangereux's selected wines at friendly prices.
The menu focuses on light meals such as salads, filled ciabatas, lamb burgers (hand-made and sensitively seasoned with fresh herbs), and fresh fish of the day when available. All out dishes were pronounced very good, except for the green salad which was doused in a rather too vinegary vinaigrette dressing.
We didn't have any of the sweet options, but the after-dinner coffees were good (an item sadly neglected at many Cape Town restaurants).
