Five of us had an extended vacation here..Samantha was very accommodating in every respect. Breakfast was always wholesome, even provided two items not on the menu.
No complaints, and we loved Bella every morning. The sounds of nature were thrilling, even though the cock down the road needs to adjust his clock!
I will definitely return one day and recommend this guest house to everyone.

We celebrated our wedding in February 2013 on Noordhoek beach and had our reception and overnight stay for us and some of our guest at the Sacred Mountain Lodge, as we live in the UK Samantha organised the whole thing for us exclusively via email and telephone with excellent detail and minimal stress for us.
I wish I could give more that 5 stars! Sam gave us a day that we will never ever forget, from the beach setting to the decor, the food, the welcome, the excellent service, the friendliness, the beautiful garden and rooms, I could not have wished for a more perfect day!
Sam and her husband Jason, Sam's mum and dad, her cute kids and even Bella the dog made us feel like we were visiting family members rather than a lodge! everything about it is so calming and chilled out, I was the least nervous bride ever!
We had the gorgeous honeymoon suite for our wedding night, while our friends slept in the lovely cottages around, in the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the garden, I never wanted to leave!
I truly recommend staying here and any bride to be that wishes a stress free wedding should place her faith in Sam, everything will be taken care of!
Thank you all, we will never forget our wonderful day.
Nancy and Marc.

That's what I wanted, a home away from home with extra trimmings. We got that and more. We were treated like royalty by Samantha and Jason, everything was just perfect. Oak Cottage where we stayed is nestled in the crook of a very old oak tree. A squirrel chanced Bella the dog for a scrounge around the lush and neatly kept gardens but Bella didn't take nonsense from a hadeda that came fluttering down. And being a dog lover, Bella was more than welcome to pay us as many visits as she wanted.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and showed to our cottage which was very well maintained and layed out. Oak Cottage also has a lot of character with personal touches of antique drawings and items.

The setting was private and secluded and exactly what we required. Our dinner was perfectly cooked and served by Fiki, who ensured our needs were met to the tee with every meal.

We enjoyed our complimentary jacuzzi session so much that we booked another. The massages were fantastic although my husband suffered at the hands of his therapist, none her fault, but all his for getting too stressed and being completely overworked.

Our lunch platter was ample and beautifully done, so much so that we kept the left overs for dinner instead of eating out.

We spent a lazy afternoon in the solar heated pool with Fiki and kie on hand with drinks.

Overall, a lovely and delightful place to break away from our busy lives where we were treated and pampered. I would recommend Sacred Mountain Lodge to anyone who wants a homey and comfortable stay. Everything had "personal touch" written all over it.

After reading the homepage ot Sacred Mountain Lodge Guest House we were really looking forward to spend our last days of our holidays in South Africa at this place. According to the pictures shown on the homepage we expected a juwel of a guest house. Unfortunately we found all the opposite there. Dirty and not maintained surroundings including dog poo in the garden. The room and even the matress stench awful from dog, because owners let their dog in the guest rooms. Very poor breakfast and 1 morning the mate was to late so we had to leave only with a coffee. During our stay the owners were on holidays even though it was high season.
All in all it was the most terrible guest house we have ever had and the most expensive one too.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate feedback, both positive and negative. Fortunately the negative are very few and far between. We left our property in very capable hands whilst we were away with our children for the school holidays, and feel confident that your experience was unique, based on the exceptional feedback from all of the other guests that stayed with us. I understand that you felt that Cape Town was on the whole a disappointment to you and a place that you said you would not return to. Our dog is exceptionally well trained and does not enter guest rooms unless she is allowed to by the guest. We certainly do not allow her on the furniture and also request that guests abide by the same policy, however sometimes animal lovers do not see the logic herein, which is probably what happened in your case, for which I do apologise. We have taken your concern seriously and decided to make known to all guests in writing that Bella is strictly not allowed in the room. Our gardens are usually immaculately kept too, and we have tightened this up based on your feedback. Once again thank you for your feedback and I hope the rest of your year is an improvement on your overall bad holiday experience.

From the staff to the owners we really felt at home and attended to. The massages that we received was one on my best that I have ever needed and we, as travel agents needed that pamper and the massage to destress. Then came the lunch, which was superb and at 5 star rating and to think it is done all by the mother of the owner.
This is definatelty a great please to have an event or just to come and relax and be pampered in whatever way! From Xl Absolut Travel - Kenilworth

I wanted or arrange a surprise night away for my boyfriend's birthday and contact Sacred Mountain Lodge. Within minutes, I received a reply with a fantastic rate. We booked for Friday night and i wasn't sure if we would be there at a normal time due to work commitments...this was not an issue and when we arrived we were welcomed with warm friendly smiles.
We stayed in Squirrel Cottage with was lovely and private with a little table and chairs outside where we had our breakfast the next morning....so beautiful.
Thank you so Samantha for all your help in arranging our stay at such short notice :-)
Regards
Cindy
