We stayed at Armadillo Studios in December 2008 and couldn't have asked for a better welcome to Knysna. Our rental car broke down on the way to Knysna, meaning that we arrived later than planned at 9pm. Our welcome to Armadillo was lovely and just what we needed after a long and tiring day.

The apartments are beautifully decorated and have been furnished with plenty of thoughtful attention to detail. We were given a free upgrade to a larger studio but with only two of us didn't make use of the second bedroom in the apartment.

Marian's breakfast is definitely worth having - delicious food and very reasonably priced. Look out for armadillo shaped plates and other touches - very thoughtful!

The garden and swimming pool are also stunning, and we were invited to join the hosts and another couple for a glass of wine one evening as the sun set which was lovely.

Overall, a wonderful gem of a place which I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Knysna.

David and Marion are the perfect hosts.Armadillo Studios are fantastic. A great location close to the Knysna golf club and the Knysna Heads. The studios are very spacious and immaculate. We stayed for five nights and in that time David and Marion were not just hosts but became good friends. We travelled the garden route while we were in SA and all our accommodation was great but Armadillo Studios were the tops. We were sad to leave and could have stayed forever.

We spent three enjoyable nights in Knysna at the Armadillo studios. The hosts, Marion and David were very professional in our pre-booking procedure and again when we arrived. They have 3 rooms and ours(#2) was very large and spacious, facing the rear yard and overlooking the swimming pool. For a small extra charge Marion will make you a great breakfast either in the kitchen upstaris or on the outer deck. Although it is a full 10 minute drive into Knysna this is a great quiet spot to spend your time. Marion suggested many places to eat and to visit. All of which worked out very well. If we have the opportunity to re-visit the wonderful country of South Africa, Armadillo will be in our sights again. Katge and Bob,. Toronto Canada

Marion & David are fantastic hosts in every way. The rooms are very comfortable with much love to the little things which make a stay convenient - and you get interesting recommendations where to eat, dring and do sightseeing.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by David and Marion
that it made are stay at Knysna 'really special'. From the welcome drinks on your deck
and the warm, natural greeting you both made us feel very special and very at home in your lovely property. We have stayed nearby last year and our time with you was just one week of our month long adventure in South Africa. You are both a credit to the B&B
concept and when we next return we will hopefully meet again.
