“Perfect in every way”

Stayed here for 2 nights but really wished it had been longer! It was just so peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is immaculate and beautiful, in a stunning location overlooking the Knysna lagoon. Each and every member of staff is so helpful and friendly. The hotel wasn't that busy during our stay, but the staff members got to know us - that personal touch goes a long way.

The rooms are amazing - large and spotless, with one of the best showers I've come across in a hotel! They will come and light your fire in the room in the evening if you request it, giving a lovely atmosphere.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to try out the spa - although I think it was quite pricey anyway. We had one evening meal at Cafe Z which was excellent (it is worth trying the locally produced beer). The breakfast was lovely and had a very good selection, including some unusual but delicious choices. I particularly enjoyed the shot of whiskey they added to the Scottish oats porridge - a welcome addition on a chilly morning!

Golf carts to assist with luggage were a nice touch, as was the free shuttle offered to Noetzie beach, where we even had a tour of the main castle (as nobody was staying there at the time).

I will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future - I really cannot fault it at all.

This hotel is on a league of it own. Luxury and extremelly friendly staff for a very reasonable price considering what you get. The room was really spacious and spotless. Really enjoyed the family stay and would definetely recommend it

I stayed at the Conrad Pezula (part of the Hilton group) for 4 days, the staff at this hotel were amazing. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the beach , for shopping or to dine in Knysna . Breakfast , lunch and dinner is served at Cafe Z. BUT the food at the hotel is appalling, not at all what one'd expect from a 5 star hotel. So, please make use of the shuttle service to eat out . I recommend their spa, it fantastic and if you enjoy golf, you will love Pezula

it is always a pleasure to stay in this hotel, the service is consistently good and the accomodation is always super comfortable. It is convenient to use the restaurants as they are closely available. It is definetly good value for money.

I stayed at Conrad Pezula for a business trip (national launch of the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo) and it is such a beautiful hotel. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. Got the opportunity to experience The Castle on Noetzie Beach and it was such a revitalizing experience. I will certainly return for a visit with my family!

This hotel is located on a stunning site. It overlooks the sea and mountains. The gardens are full of lush tropical flowers. But, the service is sloppy, the food mediocre and it is very expensive. Although April it was cold when we arrived and the underfloor heating in our room was not working so we asked for some logs to make up the fire in our room. We were not allowed to do this ourselves but had to have a hotel employee do it and then we waited for 48 hours for the debris of the fire to be cleared.
All the residents of Knysna had been warned that there would be a power strike from 8 - 11 one morning but the hotel did not notify us beforehand so it came as a shock that there was no hot water or electricity. It would have been helpful to have been alerted to this in advance.
Conrad Pezula is a corporate hotel and perhaps good for golfers as the course looked good. There seemed to be a huge number of staff milling around doing not very much. The food in the restaurant was uninspiring.

It is with disappointment that I read your review. I have concluded an investigation on the underfloor heating and it was not switched on. It seems as if there was a communication error in creating the comfort you required. Please allow me to apologise. In addition, please accept my apology for the inconveniences caused with the power failure on the Sunday. We always ensure we pre warn our guests by means of a personal note that is placed in the suite. We will take your comment to heart and communicate inconveniences like this even clearer. We did however have essential service on emergency generator for the period.

Zachary's feature under the top restaurants in South Africa and have just received the 2013 Diners Club Diamond Winelist. Your comments on the food concerns me and I would like, if you don't mind to request further details for us to improve the offering and understand what disappointed you experienced. We chose the Conrad Pezula as a luxurious way to end our road trip around South Africa. First off, Knysna and the Garden Route don't seem to be very well-known to Americans, but the area is gorgeous and worth a side trip if you are visiting Cape Town. It's about four hours away. There are a million activities including hiking, bungee jumping, caves, etc. and the town is right on a lagoon with great restaurants. The hotel will offer to book activities for you, but besides the onsite stuff, we found it just as easy (and probably cheaper ) to go on our own. The cat sanctuary (where you can walk a cheetah!) was well-run and highly recommended.

The hotel itself is beautiful - rooms feel like villas and the upstairs units have great views. It is a wonderful place to relax and you have plenty of space and privacy with the units. I thought the staff were exceptionally courteous for the most part, especially at the bar. After some not so friendly service elsewhere, we were almost taken aback by how helpful everyone was! We stayed in May 2013 which is fall (low season) but we had beautiful sunny weather. It's the perfect place to use up some Hilton points if you have them!
