“The Perfect base for exploring the Garden Route!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2011

Vanessa and Charmaine took great care of us and made sure we had a fantastic time. We have stayed in many 5* hotels around the world and the comfort of our room and service received was the equal of any of them. I would say a real home from home but I don't have that view from my bedroom window!

We had a wonderful 5 days at Blue Oyster. Staff are friendly and made us feel very welcome. As we were honeymooners we received a box of chocolates and sparkling wine on arrival, the bed and bathroom were also covered in rose petals...a very nice touch. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Absolutely nothing to complain about, accomodation was clean and tidy, great breakfast, close to all amenities and AMAZING VIEWS!

We enjoyed the nice view from the breakfast area. Vanessa was very helpful and showed us a very nice restaurant for dinner.
The room is clean and comfortable. We would recommend this B&B to everyone.

Talk about a room with a view!! This is a hill-top location with a panoramic view of the Knysna Lagoon, head lands, marina, Thesen Island, and more. Our room was spacious, and the decor of the entire establishment is beautiful as well as restful. And rest you can because the beds are devine. Speaking of taste, there is a choice of an English or Continental Breakfast, and the items are made to your order. Besides the breakfast room there are several lounges for chatting, television, and music, plus a garden and pool area. Did I mention balconies? The owner is quite personable and is available for tips on where to go and what to do or for just general conversation. We would certainly return!!

You know you've found a special place to stay when your girlfriend takes a photo of the bedroom and the bathroom on arrival. The view is also amazing and well worth the km or so up the hill. Easy stroll down into town, taxi back unless you're feeling energetic.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful, breakfast also very good. Thoroughly recommended.

Blue Oyster is a villa that has been converted into a stylish B&B. There are lots of beautiful living rooms, even a bar which were always all available for us as there are only 3 big rooms for guests. We had the best room of the house, on the top with views to the bay as well as to the garden that had a nice little pool. We were so busy that we had no time to spend around the pool but it had nice big table, chairs, sun beds and cushions. All very, very nice, clean and new. Delightful environment and very friendly staff.
