Being Knysna locals we regularly eat out or get in take aways resulting in a few good but some bad experiences.
From experience we have narrowed down our list to several outlets that we frequent and recommend without being disappointed.
Having had Freshline Fisheries recommend by a friend and reputable Guest House owner it was decided to give it a try with takeaways.
It was 17h30 that Freshline Fisheries was visited to check out the venue and to place an order for a very simple Hake and Chips.
The order took 20 minutes to process in which time we had a good look around to make our own judgement as to whether we would in future like to dine there.
Our combined view was that for a 'beach bar' type of venue it looked marginally acceptable, however, the Trip Advisor Certificate proudly displayed boasting a 4 1/2 star rating made it seem a lot more acceptable.
Well on arriving home, looking forward to 'tucking in' to the most delicious Hake and Chips was short lived.
The food was unacceptable !
The Hake was tasteless, the chips were dry and 'floury' and inedible, definitely the worst we have had for a long time.
To add insult to injury, the price was 15% higher then the general norm and we were left highly disappointed and hungry.
Unfortunately another one to cross off our list and write off to a bad experience and definitely not to be recommended to family, friends and overseas visitors.
What does it take to get management to be aware of how bad their food is and prevent such bad experiences at their potential clients expense ?
