We stopped here while traveling through the Garden district of south Africa. The service of our waiter Pardon was exemplary. He was so patient with the six of us and when after we all ordered and another friend joined us; he just rolled with it. The meals were freshly made and excellent! I would definitely stay and eat here again when we return to Knysna!

Sunday lunch is enjoyable, good value for money and affordable. We go regularly as a family and are always comfy and well served.

I couldnt believe that they could get things so wrong in this establishment. The restaurant is beautifully appointed, and gives promise to be excellent. However, the service and the food let the whole place down with a crash! Gin and tonics were ordered and served without lemon. The waitress sounded surprised when asked for lemon! The bread rolls were very tough and badly made and irregular in size. We had to ask twice for butter to go with them, The carvery lunch was appalling. Granted, the roast beef was OK, but the chicken was seriously overcooked to the point where the bones were grey, the flesh stringy and tough. The gravy was a disgrace! Obviously out a packet, perhaps the chef should take the time to read the instructions and add the right amount of water before offering this gloupy ebony varnished over salted mess to leave his kitchen. The roast potatoes were all dried out. The carrots tasted as though they had come from a tin. The rice was grey, so we gave it a miss. I can always take into account that any restaurant can have a bad day, but this abuse of food was inexcusable
