Only stayed here one night but Oh how I wishes we could have stayed longer. We had a Suite which was fantastic.
What a beautiful hotel. First Class

Room Tip: The Suites are very expensive and we were lucky that we were given one because all double rooms were...

A sumptuous room, very large bathroom and a nice balcony overlooking a tree full of yellow weaver birds was our introduction to a relaxing stay here. The place was spotless and the front desk staff very friendly and welcoming. The staff were full of smiles and very helpful.

The sunset was magnificent across the adjoining estuary as the ibis and cormorants flew to their roosting sites and the bats came out. Magical!

The food was a buffet with a good choice although the lamb chops were rather incinerated. The cooked breakfast wasn't buffet style but individually cooked and a bit slow but worth waiting for.

A really great place to relax for a day or so.

You don't get a second chance to make a first impression and the welcoming staff and reception rooms certainly did this. Modern, with an impressive open plan restaurant, bar and lounge area looking out over the pool, yet the restaurant has an intimate feel. Our room was spacious, clean with an excellent bathroom. Some rooms can be linked for families with a shared balcony. Our balacony overlooked the pool area.

The staff were excellent and attended to detail. My wife has to eat gluten free food and they accommodated us well. Our meals were arranged as buffet style. The food selection was good.

The grounds are spacious with self catering villas dotted around. The property sits on a lagoon which is at the end of the grounds.

Our holiday was with SAGA. Most hotels were good with a couple that were below the standard we expected, but this one stood out for its overall standard.

The hotel visit was rounded off by watching our team Reading FC beat Cardiff to qualify for the Chamionship play-off final at wembley.

The appartment with two bedrooms, full kitchen, balkong and terrace was fine. The room service and cleaning was perfect and the aurrounding beautiful and safe.
The only thing for compleating was the food of the restaurant, but we have prepaired the breakfasts and some lunchs and dinners ourselves or eaten in the good restaurants in Knysna Waterfront or other places in the surroundings. We have spent there 8 nights.

We were staying in this hotel for three nights with a family of four, including two kids, aged 12 and 10.
When we made the booking we checked the Internet and the pictures didn't promise too much luxury.
When checking in we actually were very positively surprised by the standard of the room. We had a two bedroom suite that was more than spacious and was excellent value for money.
With the exception of a rather poor breakfast selection, the stay was great and indeed "way above expectations".

Thank you Chris and your team for making 13 nights in Knysna really great.
The hotel is a typical 4 star, very comfortable but not flash. The rooms are spacious and we were extremely fortunate to have one of the semi-detached moorings houses which gave us masses of space, they are right down on the Lagoon and we really got value from this.
The beds are quite comfortable, the facilities are very good and with features like large screen TV you can make yourself at home which is how we felt. The staff are more than friendly,we became part of the family.
The pool area is very pleasant, with a sea water pool which is a great feature.
In short,we had clean comfortable accommodation which was quiet and dark at night,a good breakfast and were in a perfect spot to visit the many interesting things to do around Kysna.
When in Knysna do--The featherbed trip,The heads, walk round leisure island, visit the quay area and eat at Moes,Cornuttis,34 South and Zacharys restaurant at Pezula
The position of the hotel is also excellent, right on the road from the N2 to Knysna heads, easy to get anywhere!
