We had a great relaxing time in Nirvana. Great accommodation and views. Just a little noisy from road but it didn't stop us from enjoying our stay. Thank you so much Madi, and thank you also for the delicious salad.
Tom and Ann Gillon

Room Tip: Either of the rondavels are marvelous.

We spent 3 nights in one of the wonderful roundavels with stunning views over the beautiful lagoon in Knysna. We all loved this place, because it's a very special spot and a fantastic cottage! It's also great to end up in the lounge area with a glass of wine and to enjoy the fire. Really a recommendation!

Room Tip: One of the roundavels!

We were only able to stay one night, but it would be a lovely place to settle into for a few nights to explore the area. Lovely 2 bedroomed cottage with large open plan living room kitchen. Would heartily recommend.

We came with 2 families (5 adults, 1 teenager, 2 babies and 2 dogs) and stayed in the 2 roundavels for 5 nights. Everything we needed was there. Very spacious, a large fully equipped kitchen, lots of light the whole day and a fire place at night. The roundavels have 2 rooms each with satelite TV. There is no Wi Fi which didn't matter as we had IPAD with 3G card. The absolute top are the views over the whole of Knysna. The bathrooms have an outside shower with same views. Super! The pool is a little bit further which was safer for our babies. It's only about 7 km to town which is not too far. I definitely recommend this to the couples, families and group of friends.

I had been here a few years ago, and came back [this time with my parents] because I loved it so much. The views are still stunning, and the place is still gorgeous - love the outside shower, the kitchen is great, the beds really cosy! The pool is also gorgeous, and there are several fireplaces for a good braai...

Now sadly I just had the nagging feeling that the owner, Madi, does not care quite as much anymore. She promised to say hello on our arrival, but sent staff instead. She turned up on the very last day for a minute small talk - we still owed money, so it felt more like a reminder visit than anything at that stage. She also promised us a salad [freshly grown there, tastes amazing, had some first night] - despite chasing that never came back.

On top of that there are a ton of dogs - super friendly, playful and sweet, but they do, err, soil all over the area, which is not so nice.

Overall, I still think this is a great place, location and facility wise, and if you are going to be in Knysna, this is a great option - I had just wished the "personal touch" by the owner, which had been greatly commended by our travel book especially for this place, was actually still there...

We had 6 nights at this lovely location. We wondered if it would be a little remote but infact it was only a couple of mins drive to Knysna centre. It was so lovely there we didn't eat out in the eve as wanted to spend as much time as possible there. If you like golden retrievers you will love their company. The accommodation was large and spacious and very clean. We had a lovely salad brought to us from the owners garden each day. The owner lives in a separate house on the premises and gave us advice if we needed any but kept out of the way so we had privacy too. 191 Nirvana was one of the highlights of our holiday and we would go back there again without hesitation. We loved the outside shower as you had a fantastic view. the accommodation is for 4 adults and there is room for children up some steps. There was only the two of us so we had a lot of room. There are two rondavel we stayed in one of these, there is also a brick built building if the rondavels are booked. This is a place that you can truly relax in.

Room Tip: Stay in a rondavel, the one that we stayed in was slightly newer than the other, but on inspection t...
