My Wife and I had a late booking enquiry and immediately received great service. We stayed in the Captain's quarters for two nights. The room is beautiful with great views. The staff is helpfull and very friendly. I would recommend this establishment to any persons wanting to travel to the area.

Room Tip: If you can afford the Captain's Quarters its worth every cent.

We were recommended to stay on Leisure Isle by another B&B owner and we booked into this B&B. Leisure Isle is beautiful and quiet and Knysna Belle has a great location right on the lagoon with lovely views though not from our particular room which openned onto the pool area in the very pleasant back garden. Owners provide bikes so you can cycle round the island (which we did) and canoes so you can canoe on the lagoon (which we didn't but would have if the weather had been better!). Excellent breakfast out side and very good local restaurant (Tides - our best meal in SA) within walking distance. Also well placed to see rest of Knysna and the Heads but you do need to drive there or get taxi. For us this was the ideal place to stay for the Knysna area.

We were very lucky to have been recommended , we enjoyed your company and hope you return soon. Maybe next time we can spoil you in one of our front lagoon facing rooms with views over the Knysna Lagoon.

We have just returned from 3 wonderful nights at the Knysna Belle. The house is located on Leisure Isle which is about 5-10 mins drive from the centre of Knysna. The island is very quite and peaceful with only a few cars on the island. The house overlooks the Knysna lagoon which is very tidal and at low tide you can almost walk to the other side of the lagoon. The beach is less than two mins walk and they have kayaks and bikes to use if you wish. The Knysna Belle has a very homely feel to it and you are made to feel very welcome from the moment you arrive.

The room we had was called Paquita and overlooked the pool area and garden. The room was very clean and the well presented. The breakfast was served on the patio outside and there was a good selection of food including fruit, cereal, toast and the full English. The house also has an honesty bar with soft and alcoholic drinks which is good as there are no bars and only a couple of restaurants on the island. The Knysna Belle also has a selection of menus for the local restaurants and previous guests have left reviews on these restaurants. The island is very safe and nice to walk around both in the day and at night. We ate at a couple of nice restaurants on Thesen Island which is an island 5 mins drive from the Knysna Belle. There was a wide selection of restaurants to suit all tastes.

It was the first time we had visited Knysna and we are already planning a return and would definitely stay at the Knysna Belle again.

This was our second stay and we were worried it would nt live up to our memories but it surpassed them.
There are very few places in the world that provide super scenary in a safe and accessable location with really good personal service.Gillianne, Bianca and the other staff truly make you feel at home without being intrusive. The Knysna Belle is really comfortable place to stay with so many little touches that make their guests feel valued other establishments would do well to learn from. The breakfasts are excellent and taken overlooking the pool and garden which is so pretty and full of bird life. The rooms are very comfortable, there is a fabulous lounge with a spacious terrace overlooking the lagoon where we spotted a seal and a pair of fish eagles soaring in the thermals above the guest house. Leisure Island is a gem you can easily spend a few days there taking leisurely walks in complete safety or take off on one of the bikes or canoes they so thoughtfully provide. In short if you are looking for a place to just kick back and relax then look no further you will not be disappointed we can not wait to return

Superlatives come to mind when describing The Knysna Belle...It is truly the belle of the ball. Many places have a nice location but not a staff to make you feel welcome, or vice versa. The Belle gives you the best of both worlds. Bianca and everyone on staff make you feel you are at home away from home, yet also being pampered. Really, you might never want to leave the island. The views of the lagoon are like something from a beachfront beer commercial. Stunning and mesmerizing. We will be back!

We spent a fabulous weekend during the Knysna Oyster Festival and we will be back - soon! We had a late check-in and Bianca had ensured the room was warm and inviting when we arrived. The breakfast was excellent and served at the poolside with an abundance of bird life to watch. Everyone was incredibly accomodating and made our stay a great experience (the mini bar in the room would be the envy of most pubs). The atmosphere was both warm and professional and we would encourage everyone to visit!
