“"Truly Magical"”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

From the moment you arrive at the Bamboo Guest House you are made to feel so welcome. Jaynie and Gordon are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast menu is excellent. The Bamboo is truly unique and no one can leave without falling in love with it. The cabins are secluded and were first class with great attention to detail. - very comfortable bed. I would strongly recommend this truly magical guesthouse to friends.

Room Tip: Forest Cabin is delightful.

Staying here made my holiday, the gardens makes it feel secluded. The room was amazing and the bed very comfy. Janie and Gordon are great hosts and the staff were all very friendly. I will definitely be going back again when I return to South Africa.

Tarzan and Jane are merrily swinging through the trees with the knowledge that, even if for a moment or two, they succeeded in locking you into Bamboo time - uncluttered, unhurried, unpretentious, hospitable and welcoming. 9000km is an obstacle indeed, but we trust that you will clear this hurdle soon!

You'd have to go a long way to find a place as welcoming, fun and generally relaxed as this. Superb rooms, and a unique setting - you feel like you are in a secluded jungle cabin. Janie and Gordon are the perfect hosts. I hope we get the chance to come here again and again.

Room Tip: We were in pampas, but all the rooms are lovely.

We had the best time at Bamboo Guesthouse, the place was breathtaking, the rooms and decor very comfortable and beautiful to say the least. Breakfast was amazing and hosts were just great, we had a really great time here and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

This was our first time to Bamboo and we loved it. Our forest cabin and the pathways and lush vegetation surrounding it were fantastic. We enjoyed the special touches, especially the fire lit for us in our room, so that we could come back to a wonderful warm room after an evening out. The hosts were so welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay special. The eggs benedict and special breakfasts were delicious....I'd highly recommend Bamboo for an all-round wonderful time.

Bamboo's Forest Cabin is indeed a special and cozy experience. As with anything it is the small personal touches that are most appreciated.......we are thrilled to hear that you too enjoyed Bamboo's efforts in this regard. Hopefully your first visit shall not be your last!

I've stayed at Bamboo many times over the past 3 years and every time I have trouble leaving. The food is always good – whether it’s breakfast or the always scrumptious dinner shared with the other guests/new friends over a glass of red wine. My last stay was in the ‘Forest Cabin’ and I’m totally in love with the quaint, romantic cabin with its own fireplace and beautiful little deck. I really like that it’s not your usual guest house experience – it’s an opportunity to reconnect with nature (with all the luxuries a city girl needs). Thanks for always welcoming me as a friend and treating me like royalty - looking forward to my next visit !
