This very popular restaurant was full on the Monday night we visited so it is essential to book ahead. The restaurant serves a wide range of seafood, fish and meat dishes as well as a limited vegetarian selection. The most enjoyable part of our stay was the due to the excellent services and bonhomie of our waiter Benjamin. He set out to make sure we had a thoroughly memorable time. We appreciated the honesty and and advice on selecting the right vegetarian main course for the non meat eater of our party (stir fried vegetables with feta fill mushrooms) as this fur end out to be a winner. Sadly two of us selected calamari strips (prepared 2 different ways) and we did not enjoy these. They had a floury texture and ewe rather rubbery and we asked to have the returned to the kitchen. The female owner felt quite affronted saying that none of these dishes had been returned by diners and we did politely point out they were not to our taste. She then did not engage with us again for the rest of the evening which left a spirit tinge to to the evening. Our main courses (vegetarian, prawns and fresh kingklip) were all faultless and utter delicious and we could not find fault with even the al dente vegetables, infused mash of chips. The creme brûlée to finish was also outstanding. The banter, good humor, charm and professionalism of Benjamin made up for the sticky moment with the owner and we did have a wonderful dining experience.
