They very busy so not really interested on personal service
Quality of the food poor!
We went twice just to make sure...
Burger was raw inside
No value for money as 2 pieces of bread were about 70 rand
they not prepared to change nothing on any of the dishes. Even if a person is allergic to some of the ingredient ....
Never Again!

A bustling little restaurant, serving amazing breakfasts. Just make sure that you order a few take away pastries for later - they are divine.

Busy, but worth the wait! Great coffee, have a chocolate croissant, tastes very similar to the French chocolate croissant. All the dishes are delicious, can't go wrong with any pick from the menu.

After receiving numerous recommendations we decided to visit Ile de Pain. The location, the food and the atmosphere were excellent. It is definitely worth a visit when in Knysna. The only point I would fault them on was the service. The waiting staff is not equal to the quality of the food you receive.

In peak season you should arrive before the lunch rush, because the waiting time for a table can be up to an hour, and you cannot book over the phone.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at a packed and bustling Ile de Pain in the middle of the summer Knysna rush. We expected it to be busy and that we might have to wait, but were left a little unsure of whether we were "on the list" since we weren't asked to put our names down while other groups were. We were seated after a modest wait and enjoyed delicious, fresh and interesting meals.

Watching bread being baked in the outdoor oven was entertaining and the atmosphere and bustle contributed to a good meal.
