We stayed 4 nights at Bridgewater Manor. The rooms were very comfortable and very well decorated and appointed. A lot of money seems to have been spent on the décor of the hotel and it is very tasteful and good quality. The views from the 1st floor bedrooms and from the terrace are beautiful. There is a little traffic noise from the main road below but not enough to be a problem. Everywhere is very clean and there is a nice pool with landscaped gardens. The Manageress lives in premises within the grounds and if you need to speak to her there is a phone. There is a communal fridge and an honesty bar. You have to decide the night before what you want for breakfast the next day, someone on the next table asked for cooked when the Manageress thought they had ordered continental and to be honest she was a bit exasperated though she did do it! She was a bit like a Headmistress! The position is quite good, just a short car trip to the waterfront and on to the town. Although it could be thought of as a bit impersonal I quite liked the fact that you could come and go as you pleased. I would stay here again as it was so comfortable and the views were so great.
