We spent 2 days in the reserve walking the well signposted tracks. There are a variety of tracks to suit all ability levels with plenty of information in the centre and on the printed walk guides. This is a very secure reserve with patrols to ensure your safety.

Hermanus has had a lot of rain the last season and I have rarely seen the fynbos putting on such a good show. Highly recommend an early morning walk up Lemoenkop.

Love to walk in Fernkloof, so quite, love the smells, bird life and always look for the tortoise's. Great views of Hermanus once up the mountain. Safe, good exercise and good to stop and smell the "Roses" - take time out and enjoy nature.

This is a beautiful walk with stunning views of the lagoon. The boat ride is lovely. Because it's a nature reserve you have to visit on the group tour, which means everyone is driven up the slope in trucks - it's a shame, as it would be a nice walk unless weather is really hot or you are very unfit. But you do get to walk down, if you can spread out from the group a little bit it's possible to appreciate the peace and nature. Much of the walk is shady so not too hot. The tour included a meal, which I was doubtful about since the food on these things is often not great - not so here, it was delicious with a really big choice including lots of fresh seafood and fruit.
