Was, for years one of my favourite venues in the World , but due to circumstances and life changes , had not been for some years, until last month.
Took some London friends, who have a house in the area, they, had often heard me, rave about it, so it was time to head for the hills of the Hemel and Aarde valley.
Julia, Jenny and team are still on top of things, such gracious & unpretentious hosts to compliment their brilliantly presented & yummy country fare, with a twist.
Long lazy afternoon, gazing down to the herb & veggie garden ( its all, mostly organic here ), the pond and rolling green hills beyond, towards the Atlantic ocean.
I prefer lunches, and pretend that I am in Provence or somewhere equally laid back, at a friends house, no rush, and the road is tarred most of the way, except for the last minute or two through the tranquil adjacent fruit farms. Make that booking.
