This tree stand in front of the George Tourism Bureau in the old library . There are different stories about the chain on this tree:
The first story gives the tree it's name. It is said that the chain was used to chain slaves to the tree when they were sold.
Another story is that there use to be a tennis court close to the tree and thet the roller was chained to the tree.
Whichever story is the truth, it is still interesting to visiting this 200 year old tree.
