We were tired after coming off plane and opted for this restaurant as was local to where we were staying. We should have been suspicious when we entered the restaurant at around 7pm as we were the only guests. The whole building, which is advertised as the oldest restaurant in CT, was dark with very little electric light but again we thought this was the ambiance. The four of us ordered something different from an interesting menu including local roast lamb, oxtail & kingclip fish. The food looked and tasted OK and we went onto having sweets which again we enjoyed. However after our meal we took a closer look at the surrounding and they could have done with a clean. Later that evening the person who had the fish was extremely ill for a couple of days. We mentioned this to our mine host and he warned that the restaurant had a bad reputation and not frequented by locals. Shame as location in Constantia is very good.
