We decided to return to this popular venue to celebrate a family birthday. The weather wasn't great, so we chose to be seated indoors next to the fireplace. My starter (Parma ham & melon) and main (mushroom & rooibos risotto) were great choices off the daily specials menu. Nice-sized portions at very reasonable prices. Both very tasty and complimented well by the Estate Sauvignon Blanc.
The indoor dining room was a little crowded and noisy if one expected a quiet, sophisticated environment. Mostly local families enjoying a celebratory lunch together. The older members of our party (>85) battled to hear others across the round table.
Whilst the food and even the wines were priced at average levels, I did find the kid's soft drinks expensive. I'm not used to paying R18 for a 200ml lemonade!
