We stopped a couple of times at this restaurant to have drinks while enjoying the nice view over the waterfront from their terrace. Drinks were not overpriced at all, and service was professional. Would recommend!

We just had some drinks and starters and experienced the following:
Atmosphere: the table next to us was smoking and when I asked the waitress if we were in a smoking section, she said that she allows people to smoke anywhere. According to law, smoking areas must be completely isolated from non-smoking. When the waitress mentioned to the manager that I had complained, the manager sent a message with the waitress that she can move us to another table, but didn't bother to come to the table herself.
Food: the food was not as advertised in the menu (ingredients left off plate) and the calamari was not cleaned properly and still had spines in it.
Cleanliness: the worst part of the visit. In the ladies' bathroom the SHE bins were overflowing with used sanitary products and the auto sensor to open the bins was not working.
It was a horrid experience and I will not be back.

Location is perfect, right on the waterfront. Service was decent when we went, a bit slow but it was packed. Live music but not overbearing which was nice. I had the beef and reef (surf and turf) which was really nice. Table next to us had ribs and a t-bone which looked amazing. Very good value

This venue has definitely changed over the years. It feels quite downmarket and tatty now.
The food was really not very good at all.
The pricing was good for Cape Town though!
The service was dreadful and there were just not enough waiters on duty for the amount of patrons and size of the restaurant.
I in fact googled the restaurant's phone number whilst sitting waiting for service and asked for a manager who came on to the phone and sounded quite irritated I had called - he said he would come down to see us - which never happened..

I don't think I would go back in a hurry - expect for a sundowner but not for a full dinner or lunch. Too many other better options in close proximity.
