Description: Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. Free range organic and ethically sourced ingredients. Allergies catered for. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.

Came to the Savoy Cabbage for dinner on our trip in Cape Town and was very impressed with the food. Had the Kudu which was cooked perfectly. My sister-in-law is vegan and was very, very happy with the food she received, even though we hadn't pre-ordered any special meal. Only slightly strange part of the meal was the chap running the front of house. He squeezed past our table twice to look at something behind us over the balcony and didn't say a single thing in passing.

Excellent loin of Warthog -- I'll never look at Pumbaa from the Lion King in the same way. Glad to see that this restaurant supports the Street Kids initiative.

It was literally pouring rain from the sky and while looking for a shelter we bumped into the Savoy cabbage.
Located in a refurbished building whit red brics walls the restaurant offers a good selection of meats.
The atmosphere is pleasant, probably lights are too bright, but still enjoyable. Good selection of wines and mains. We have keran beef tartare, sliced roasted warthog and kudu in red wine sauce (delicious). I would reccomend this place to anyone who is looking for a place for local and think that average south african restaurant are not so good (like me)

It is very simple: the food was amazing. Set in central Cape Town, this beautiful stone restaurant serves great food. The ambiance was very welcoming, a nice Cape Town evening breeze kept us cool. Inspiring menu with locally source produce was very exciting. Next time I'm in Cape Town and want a great meal, it'll be at Savoy Cabbage.
