La Rose Bed & Breakfast

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The owners, Yoann and Adira, are there to assist you and are trying hard to make your stay a pleasant experience. They are there every morning to join their guests at breakfast answering questions, help planning your sight seeing or sharing stories with you.
The breakfast is delicious. 3 different kinds of fresh bread, fresh fruit salad, homemade cereal, freshly baked muffins, eggs prepared to your liking and more. The coffee is terrific and will wake you up in the morning.
The B&B is in a safe and colourful neighbourhood and walking distance to downtown.
After a great day of sightseeing you can enjoy a great dinner and live African music in a great restaurant just a block down the street, Marco's African Place, to end your day.
Some rooms are rather small but adequate.
The roof garden has a spectecular view of Tablemountain and is a great place to have a glass of wine while watching the sun set.
What a lovely B&B

Room Tip: For peace and quiet its the Garden room, but no view and small. The Crimson and Lilac suites are gr...

Nice and clean rooms. Very helpful and friendly owners and staff. We got a lot of help and recommendations when we planned our roadtrip and we enjoyed everything they suggested. The breakfast buffe was great with homemade musli and freshly baked bread and muffins. The building's interior is thoughtful and gets more beautiful after hearing the great stories behind it. Good location. I like the environmental awareness. If I'm going to Cape Town again, I'm coming back!

The owners are genuinely pleasant and amazingly helpful with travel planning, the communal breakfast is a great opportunity to make friends from around the world and swap travel tips, and the location is perfect for exploring some of the most interesting places in Cape Town. Great place but make sure you make all your plans with Johann, the owner. We stayed at La Rose over Christmas and for a few days he was gone. The place just wasn't the same - the code on the safe in our rooms wasn't working and none of the staff knew how to work it. We also didn't know that there were two different wifi's so we didn't think we had any until Johann came back and told us different.

Breakfast each morning was very good. The rooms are tiny but very clean. The neighborhood is a little noisy with kids screaming at night.

Very good price and in colorful Bo'Kaap.

I can only use that over -used cliche:- 'Home from home', although I fear, that they're a lot more friendly and welcoming than most families! My second visit and they couldn't have been kinder, quite literally, nothing is too much trouble. The attention to detail and the quirky decor, is an absolute delight - the guest lap top - a business saver! As a pariah smoker, I often feel like a criminal, but whilst they do not condone, one is given a (non smoking)room with outside space, where this disgusting habit cannot offend them or the other guests - this alone deserves more than 5 stars! The street has good restaurants and 3 of the best craft places, in Cape Town, so if a frequent visitor, one does not need a car, as it it's also in easy walking distance of the Cape Quarter, V & A water front and Loop, and Long etc. I've stayed in many B & Bs in CT, but this is perfect. If you are single traveller, this is definately the place to stay. Already planning my next visit. Big thanks to the Host and Hostess.

Room Tip: lilac - it's huge and has a private balcony - I've not stayed in the new house, that might b...

Amazing bed & breakfast in the unique and colorful neighbourhood of Bo Kaap. La Rose stands out with its charming, still central location and excellent and homely service. The lovely and smiling owners were always present at breakfast for chatting and giving helpful advice on how to get the most out of our Cape Town stay. During the rest of the day they were never further than a phonecall away no matter how small your need is. Guests were also provided with a phone with all necessary phone numbers on speed dial - super convenient for ordering Excite Taxis.

We stayed at The Rose room which was not huge, but very clean and beautifully decorated with a personal touch. Also make sure to check out the roof terrace with the amazing views over Bo Kaap and Signal Hill - specially beautiful during sunsets. Breakfasts were so good with homemade cereals and scones fresh from the oven, fruits, yoghurt and eggs made to order.

All in all, La Rose was one of our favourite places to stay during a three month journey around the world! If you are looking excellent value as well as a personal bed & breakfast experience, look no further!

This B&B is wonderfull.
The room is a little but clean, the break the breakfast very good and overall the owner is carefull and really really kind.
The BB is located in a safe area, just 10-minute walk to the restaurant and a quarter to the waterfront.
