We stayed at Loloho Lodge in Cape Town for 4 nights in February/March 2009.

Frank & Simon are the perfect hosts: they make you feel at home allthough Cape Town is a huge city, far, far away from home.

Every morning the hosts meet you with a smile. And a delicious breakfast: fresh squeezed orangejuice, colourfull fruitsalad, müsli, yoghurts, cheeses, ham, marmelade, brown and white bread (from a bakery, not the supermarket) + hot breakfast of your own choice with eggs and bacon. And good coffee. Perfect!

The breakfast is served by the pool - in the shadows of Franks many roses. We counted at least 40 terracottapots with different flowers around the house.

The setting of lovely Loloho Lodge is perfect. At Cape Towns Sea point its short to everything. The seaside, restaurants and shops are in (safe) walkingdistance. And the B&B is situated only a short taxiride away from Table Mountain (50R), Camps Bay (30R), Waterfront (30R) etc. (Airport is 200R)

The rooms are rather small, but whos staying inside when in South Africa? The room was nice decorated, it had a very comfortable bed and it was always clean. (Had teakitchen, refrigerator, safe, television)

Our stay at Loloho Lodge was perfect and we will not hesitate to recomend it to other travelers, family and friends!

Hot restauranttips for other travellers:
*"Jardine" for romantic fine dining
*"Willoughbys" for lunch (sushi and seafood)
*"Buzbys Grill" to blend in with the locals and eat great meat.

And then two hot tips for Frank& Simon to make their B&B even more perfect:
*A computer with internet for the guests (practical when planning the trip, finding restaurants etc) Or wireless internett for the guests to log on with own computers/phones.
*A small sellection of drinks in the refrigarator (as many flights come in very late at night)

It is great to receive an encouraging review showing appreciation for our efforts. and I thank you, Gourmetbella (I love that name)

Two small points for the benefit of other potential guests:-
Firstly we do not have at the moment a computer for public use however all the rooms have wired ADSl internet access free of charge for guests own laptops. We also allow the office computer to be used for such things as receipt of e-mails or checking-in on line etc
Finally, although coming from England it would be nice to have a rose garden, it is basically full of hibiscus and bougainvillia.

Stayed @ Loloho for a week over x-mas and New Year 08/09. Centrally located close to Waterfront and beaches.
The place lacks for a panoramic view, though, and the narrow Sea Point roads around it might seem a bit adventurous at first (believe me, they're VERY narrow!) - nevermind: You'll be welcomed by very friendly hosts, the Lodge is a true oasis, gorgeous pool, delicious breakfast, clean and tidy rooms (no A/C but DVD players) and all that for a very reasonable tariff. Will stay there again.

Small, cosy and safe lodge with a familiar atmosphere, only minutes away from shops and restaurants at Sea Point. Frank and Simon are taking excellent care of their guests. Nice to relax next to the small pool after a day of sightseeing

Loloho is a piece of peaceful and an adorable place to stay...For me and my husband was a set of things that has made us feel very happy to choose Loloho .. The friendliness of the hosts, Simon and Frank, combined with the comfort of the room, soft sheets, bed extremely comfortable .. bedroom well ventilated, clear .. A yard full of flowers, with chairs to stay in the sun reading a good book, relaxing after a day of walking, by the pool, taking a wine ....Was perfect! The breakfast is very well served with several choices of breads, fruit and you can enjoy it in comfortable tables in the courtyard .. In addition to all Frank and Simon were extremelyattentive, helping us with tips and making some reservations for us in great tours..definitely, if you are looking for a nice place to stay at capetown you must to stay at Loloho!
