Derwent House is a great hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff who do everything they can to make your stay perfect. It is well located with plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Cape Town is an amazing city and Derwent House a great place to stay when you visit. Thank you Carol, Jo and all the team for a fabulous New Year and a brilliant holiday.

This is a delightful guest house / boutique hotel with a more than helpful staff and two very dedicated and helpful owners who have clearly not lost any of their passion for their guests to have a great experience. We tried to think of something less positive about the place for them to work upon as a development area but could not come up with anything. Stay there and enjoy it "we did" and it made for a great start to our South African holiday.

The staff is so Nice and helpfull it is actually hard to believe it is true...
They give you advice on things to do, places to go, book everything for you, help you to plan everything, etc. ...

The place is very comfortable and cosy. The swimming pool water is warm. This place is close to paradise really...

Another fabulous stay @ Derwent House. This must now be our 5th or 6th stay, and each time it fails to disappoint. An outstanding team as ever was attentive as ever to every detail, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, breakfast was delicious and it's ideal location just tops it all off.

We arrived in derwent on 11th of jan on our honeymoon. Greeted by jo and Shepard on arrival both were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough to make us feel more welcome after a long flight from London.

As we were on honey moon jo insisted we have a bottle of bubbly which was greatly appreciated. The service advice and knowledge of all staff was great and we had some lovely evening chats with nick the night porter.

Situated in a lovely part of Cape Town away but not too far from the v and a there are plenty of restaurants and other eateries in walking distance.

The room was small for the price paid and it was tight with two big suitcases. However this was the only bit of criticism I would give as the pool area, decking and general feel of this boutique hotel was fantastic. Highly recommended, thanks guys!!
