This is not the ordinary tapas on offer and the presentation is excellent. There are three main tables inside and the width of the table, about 50cm, makes for interesting body space dynamics and adds to the atmosphere which was cosy being winter with rain and cold outside. Subsequently with the tables one has to sit offset to the person opposite. The wine is not expensive, our wine and some others I looked at on the menu was 50-60% above the store price which is below normal. The presentation was excellent and the service friendly and casual. When some of our table could not eat the shellfish, the tapas serving was adjusted to our liking. The tapas variation was excellent for most tastes and compatible with each other. The short rib was especially good. There were three other tables for couples which added a buzz to the place without it being too noisy. In summer it should be great to sit outside especially at night.

The food is really interesting and tastes great. Pity that one can't exchange the Sheep tongue on their Tapa Platter with something else. The restaurant is cosy with nice decor. Recently Restaurants in Cape Town put huge margins on their wine prices and Chefs Warehouse is unfortunately no exception. Overpriced wine and not the cleanest toilettes took away the 5th star.

We got invited to the chefs warehouse, and we were not sure what to expect! Long benches and merchandise on the walls! We ordered a tapas platter with smoked pork belly in mash, mushrooms, cheese ruclette and many more delicious items. We loved it! Service was swift and very friendly. Small but efficient wine list!
On the way out I bought myself the cookbook from the chef and had it signed from him! We definitely will be back!

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel owners where we stayed in Cape Town (Rouge on Rose) and was one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had! With a cozy and intimate setting, coupled with the Exquisite cuisine…we made sure we went back tow more times before heading back to the states (USA)! The tapas were awesome and the desserts were amazing! The chef and staff were friendly and efficient and created an atmosphere of welcoming that I have not experienced before in a restaurant. I highly recommend it and look forward to going again on our next trip to Cape Town!

What a great discovery - we ate here 3 times during a weeks break in the Cape. The tapas for 2 at R280 must be the bargain of the century. You get 8 different VERY tasty dishes which alter daily. It is casual and intimate - no booking and you sit on stools around long tables - brilliant. We also had dinner at the Pot Luck Club which serves similar fair - but it was a complete rip-off compared to the food and price of the Chefs Warehouse. Highly recommended.
