“Never stayed , extreme poor service”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

Never got to stay due to appalling admin and and lack of proper communication.Online booking service constantly just send automated messages with no personal contact at all. When you follow the procedure and send the booking forms numerously they never respond or email is lost or phone calls not answered. If you complain about this you get told there is no availability any more! Stay away there are other gorgeous accommodation in the area with wonderful service!

We stayed here for 4 nights with 2 other couple friends of ours. For what we paid, we were expecting luxury and the corresponding level of service. While the property is nice and has lots of potential, the staff that runs the property is not of high caliber and we expected more.

Our check in was a little late since we were arriving via a private car from the V&A waterfront. Our host arrived and showed us the villa. We were in the middle floor of a 3 story town home. The first issue we had was that one of the rooms had two twin beds. You would have thought the host thought that was a problem the second he saw our party but he didn't mention it and we had to point it out. He said they were not notified by our travel agent otherwise they would have swapped the mattresses out earlier today when the housekeepers came by. We had to debate about this with him for 30 mins and the resolution was the housekeepers would fix it the next day. Fine. The next day we arrive home and all the housekeepers did was combine the beds and put a larger comforter on it. The pool was also dirty when we got home do we asked for it to be cleaned. Ridiculous. We also noticed the toiletries were not refreshed (soap, shampoo, etc). We call our host and he says they only give guests one set of toiletries is and the beds are now one. Fine. Although it is impossible for any guests saying there to live on the small bottles for the entire duration - we just went and bought out own. The next issue was the pool outside. We decided to use it but notice the jets were off. That was odd since they were in earlier in the morning. We call the host number and we get a woman that says the jets are only turned on by the staff once a week. We thought this was odd because no one had come on this day and the jets were definitely on earlier. Oh well, we jump in and splash around in the small pool. A buddy and I have a few beers and we saw some of our friends walking by and they point out most the water that was in the pool has now splashed to the balconies beneath us! Apparently the jets on the infinity pool were pumping water back in. Oh well, we asked and were told not to worry about it.

The location of the property is excellent. You can open up the loving room to the patio and get amazing ocean views for sunset. Restaurants and bars are plentiful in walking distance. There is also a grocery store nearby to stock up the fridge. One tip is this area of Cape Town is dry so bring boos! We made the mistake of not doing so and had to call a delivery service to deliver some wine and liquor. This was pretty easy to do and our host helped us find a contact online for this (the on piece of help the host provided!).

All in all this is a very nice property. If you assume you are just getting an apartment with basic housekeeping you will be just fine. Do not expect luxury or luxury service and you will not be disappointed by the Cape Town Bali villa suites.

Stayed here in January for 5 nights and it was everything I'd expected. The apartmnent was well equiped and well serviced with breathtaking views. The road in front is busy (and noisy) a small price to pay for being in one of Cape Town's top areas. Beach and eateries really close by. Table Mountain is just 5 minutes drive away.

Room Tip: Do realize that this place is located on a busy road and you'll have to endure the sounds of tra...

We had the best time ever in this beautiful studio apartment. The views are stunning - just the road separates you from the sea. Great waking up to it, windows run the full length of the apartment to maximise the views. Loved sitting in the small balcony or in the common balcony with my tea or wine just watching the sea.

Pretty much everything you can think of is there- fully equipped kitchen, microwave, iron, bath-robes, etc. - even thoughtfully provided candles & candle-stands. There is even a folding chair to take to the beach - which we could'nt use sadly since it was winter when we were there.
The rooms are very nicely decorated in a blue & white med-kind of theme. They're serviced daily. The glassware is of very good quality.
Bathroom is perfectly adequate, shower cubicle with good force rain-shower but slightly noisy flush.
Lovely comfortable beds with good quality linen. The plush throws came in handy while sitting outside in the Cape Town winter.

Starter kit of tea/coffee/milk & juice is provided. Also R20 worth free wi-fi - both lasted the duration of our trip - 5 days. There was even a nice bottle of wine in the fridge.

Beverly the owner was always easy & friendly to deal with right from the email stage. She even kept our room warmed up for us the first day. Lost a pair of binoculars & wrote back to her & she went out of her way to look for it.

Easy safe walk to the main street with shops & cafes & beach. There is a pick-n-pay supermarket right at the beginning. 15 min to town. Safe remote access garage, trip alarm in the apartments. Safe in the wardrobe.

The traffic on the main road did'nt bother us one bit. It was in fact great to people-watch from our little balcony. Seemed to be a popular dog-walking, running, road - & why not, with those views!

Pretty perfect - would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at Bali Bay penthouse for 7 nights. Bev, the owner, was there to welcome us and kindly allow an early morning check in straight from our flight. She was polite, friendly and professional throughout, nothing was too much trouble. There was juice and milk in the fridge, tea and coffee and a good bottle of local wine on the table.
As soon as we arrived we were blown away by the place. The location is perfect, only 5 minutes safe walk (including at night) from all that Camps Bay has to offer. Garage facilities are available with remote controlled access so you can drive straight in.(There are outside steps up to the property which would be a problem for disabled guests.)
On entering all I could say was "wow!", the views from every room were amazing, the decor was lovely, everything was high quality and spotlessly clean, there was great attention to detail with soft furnishings etc.Glass doors across the whole of the property allow 360 degree views with the ocean at the front and the 12 apostles range at the rear. The lower floor with the living areas has 1 king size with en suite, I queen size, 1 twin, family bathroom and extra toilet. Beds are superbly comfortable and linen is crisp white cotton with duvets.
The living/dining area is spacious and has a large dining table, sofa, chairs and TV. On the balcony is another dining table and seating overlooking the ocean.
The kitchen is very well equipped and has dishwasher and washing machine. Crockery and cutlery was good quality and plentiful, entertaining would be so easy here. The maid does a superb job each day.
There is efficient underfloor heating which we did need a few times. The main bedroom also has an aircon unit. There is a safe in the bedroom.
The upper floor has one large room to relax in with two day beds, small tables and a shower room with toilet. Outside is a plunge pool, luxurious loungers, dining table and chairs and BBQ. The views from here are amazing, I never tired of just sitting and watching the sea.
This property is of the highest standard, in a great location for the whole of Cape Town and environs, we felt privileged to stay there and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Just a brief few lines for this one.
We stayed in the appartment for 11 days and it became our home from home.
We were only two for part of the time and had oceans of space but even with more folks it is still a superbly proportioned home. Others have talked about the views and situation, perfect! But what about location, location? Twenty minutes into the city centre what more can you want and great beaches as well.
Traffic. The appartment is right on the coast road so there is traffic noise, Friday afternoon it can become tedious. Other times we were unaware of it.
Not a cooks kitchen but for the majority of folks eating out in Camps Bay is the norm anyway.
We hope to go back

We had the penthouse to share between 4 of us and it was excellent as it has 2 double rooms and 1 Proper twin room.
Included is a lounge area and equiped kitchen and then upstairs a fantastic pool area as well as inside area with the most breath taking views.
3 Bathrooms and a separate toilet mean there is no waiting for others (especially the ladies), when getting ready to go out.
The town is a 5 to 10 min walk.
An hours walk is the 12 Apostles hotel which had a great lunch.
