We arrived to a wonderful warm welcome with fresh food, linen, and awesome staff. Located right below Table Mountain with beautiful view, nicest staff, and close to everything in town, made us feel like home. We highly recommend this place without reservation and we would definitely return to this place again.

Having arrived weary after a turbulent overnight flight, we were given a drink of ice cooled water with a sprig of mint as soon as we stepped through the door and shown into the comfortable lounge to relax Tea plus was arranged to be served on the veranda by the small pool after we had been shown to our balconied, front room and able to indulge in a lovely, refreshing, hot shower. Over tea a recommended reservation was made for our evening meal and a taxi was ordered. Then we were introduced to our options in Cape Town and supplied with an excellent map.We opted to be driven on the excellent, open top Red Bus Tour for the afternoon.
Next day after a quiet and relaxed sleep in a room that had all those little extra touches, we were treated to perhaps our best breakfast during our stay in SA. The choices were all either home made or freshly sourced and both plentiful and delicious, served in the dining room or outside on the veranda. Many of the tables were for four people which encouraged the option of sharing and conversations with fellow travellers. This B&B excels in making you feel welcome.
Other praiseworthy features of this B&B are the kindness ,helpfulness and attention to detail shown by all the staff. Seldom does one met all the staff and get to know them by name. On reception Stewart, Nabila & Fran are masters of assisting you to make the most of Cape Town, and the whole establishment is smooth running due to the backroom chores quietly and efficiently completed by Princess, Tio, Thoto & Austin. Food is delicious, cleanliness excellent and hospitality unsurpassed. This was a wonderful introduction to SA. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The balconied front bedrooms are slightly larger and there is little traffic noise as the B&B is...

We arrived tired and a bit disoriented after an overnight flight but Stewart and the team immediately made us welcome and guided our stay in Capetown. Thank you.
Lovely breakfast area by the pool
Rooms upstairs at front seemed larger and have own balcony
Excellent breakfasts - best fruit and buffet of the trip.

My wife and I have stayed in a large number of hotels all over the world, but if you are looking for a well positioned hotel just outside the hubble and bubble of Cape town, this is the one for you. The staff just couldn't be friendlier or more helpful... They even allowed me to use their computer and printer to work on my daughter's wedding speech... :)

Unfussy, friendly, helpful people. Highly recomended

Room Tip: Any room is good as it is a quiet, small hotel with (I think) about 6-7 rooms. Great breakfasts

Staying at Acorn was a joy. Fresh white linen. Beautiful room and bathroom. Friendly staff members. Stewart was especially helpful in assisting me in following up on the delivery of my lost luggage from the airline. Great breakfasts.
Will be a preferred stay for me when on business in Cape Town.

Beata and Stewart were just as we remembered and they made sure we had the same rooms as last time - a lovely touch. Breakfast by the pool was just delightful and Stewart made sure we had a dinner reservation in good time..

Beautiful and characterful guest house in a pretty, quiet district. Everyone was very helpful, particularly Stewart and Nabila. Breakfasts were delicious and rooms were very well furnished and decorated. It was our first trip to South Africa and Acorn House proved the perfect place for our family to stay in Cape Town. We're looking forward to going back. Highly recommended.
