We arrived tired and a bit disoriented after an overnight flight but Stewart and the team immediately made us welcome and guided our stay in Capetown. Thank you.
Lovely breakfast area by the pool
Rooms upstairs at front seemed larger and have own balcony
Excellent breakfasts - best fruit and buffet of the trip.

My wife and I have stayed in a large number of hotels all over the world, but if you are looking for a well positioned hotel just outside the hubble and bubble of Cape town, this is the one for you. The staff just couldn't be friendlier or more helpful... They even allowed me to use their computer and printer to work on my daughter's wedding speech... :)

Unfussy, friendly, helpful people. Highly recomended

Room Tip: Any room is good as it is a quiet, small hotel with (I think) about 6-7 rooms. Great breakfasts

Staying at Acorn was a joy. Fresh white linen. Beautiful room and bathroom. Friendly staff members. Stewart was especially helpful in assisting me in following up on the delivery of my lost luggage from the airline. Great breakfasts.
Will be a preferred stay for me when on business in Cape Town.

Beata and Stewart were just as we remembered and they made sure we had the same rooms as last time - a lovely touch. Breakfast by the pool was just delightful and Stewart made sure we had a dinner reservation in good time..

Beautiful and characterful guest house in a pretty, quiet district. Everyone was very helpful, particularly Stewart and Nabila. Breakfasts were delicious and rooms were very well furnished and decorated. It was our first trip to South Africa and Acorn House proved the perfect place for our family to stay in Cape Town. We're looking forward to going back. Highly recommended.

'Shabby chic' style boutique guest house. Two exceptional members of staff, Stewart and Nabila, make the place what it is. Excellent breakfasts, comfortable rooms, nice garden and small pool with loungers. If you order in a take-away, or fire up the BBQ, mats, cutlery, candles and coffee seamlessly appear. 'Honesty' bar. Bedrooms would benefit from air-conditioning, and some parts a little tired. A word of caution if travelling with small children, the pool is very close to the building and there are unprotected drops (for instance a deep stone stair well and low walls around terraced lawn) of safety concern. Babysitting available but London rates (R500 for 4.5 hours - vineyard grape-picker rates R11.4 an hour) On the plus side, in the main they are very co-operative in use of kitchen for preparing children's tea or baby bottles.

Room Tip: Some rooms have balcony with distant ocean or mountain views, ground floor have furnished terraces...

Wonderful hospitality. I always judge a property by its coffee and Acorn's was absolutely superb. Loved breakfast in the garden.Perfectly situated to flit into town for a conference at the CTCC and easy access to main roads.
