This was a great choice. Clean. Nice. Welcoming. Staff was great. Only downside was no TV in room. Highly recommended.

Excellent! This small bed & breakfast offers an excellent retreat in Cape Town. Nicely decorated and very clean and comforable rooms. A very delicious homemade gourmet breakfast was included. The owner was very helpful with tips and suggestions, as well as very accomodating with my travel plans. The lodge sit within view of Table Mountain in a very nice neighborhood. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The Gardens Mall is also close by, and you can catch a bus to the V&A Waterfront from here. The Company's Gardens are also within walking distance (5-10 minutes). The lodge is quiet and nicely decorated with gated, secure parking. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!

This was recommended to us by friends and it was the perfect place to stay when in Cape Town. Ideally suited to see the main city as well as the more luxurious waterfront as well as Table Mountain. Barbara, our host, was the most helpful and accommodating person! Full of ideas, timings, when might be the best to do things etc. Extraordinarily helpful. Breakfast was lovely, despite someone pulling the old 'unscrew the salt pot' trick...highly recommended on all fronts.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed excellent.

We stayed for 3 nights and found Cactusberry Lodge ideal for its location - easy walk down through the main park into the City Centre. The house was beautifully decorated and quietly situated. The splash pool, though small, was refreshing and the garden/sun deck a tranquil oasis from the bustle of town. Barbara treated us with a wonderful finely cut fresh fruit salad every morning and an ample breakfast buffet as well as choice of cooked breakfast. The room was spotless, the bathroom impeccable and the communal lounge welcoming with books, TV and well - stocked Honesty Bar. We couldn't have asked for more ( except perhaps fresh/sachet rather than powdered milk on the tea tray but that may be due to the heat). A lovely home in a beautiful city with very helpful and friendly staff.

We only stayed one night before flying home. We had our young son with us and the owners were very accommodating. They let us use their kitchen for heating his food and sterilizing his bottles. We had a late flight and as the lodge was not full, they let us keep our room for free until we had to leave for the airport.
Breakfast was very good. Fruit salad, yoghurt, toast, eggs and all the trimmings
There are two restaurants on the same street as the lodge, meaning you can walk there. The Gardens Shopping Centre is also within walking distance, just a few minutes away.
The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The room was not very big though.
There is a small plunge pool and a deck with views of Table Mountain. No TV in the room, but in the upstairs lounge.

We stayed for 5 nights at Cactusberry Lodge. The service was excellent from the beginning. The email booking procedure was very professional and efficient and when we arrived the outstanding service continued - super friendly and helpful staff!
The interior is really stylish and unique, the rooms are cosy. The expectations we had from the website were absolutely fullfilled.
The location is perfect - near to Longstreet and the city centre.
