If you are in for a true authentic SA family dining experience, you would not want to miss Mzansi. This is not a business but an opened home which welcomes everyone. The food is homemade traditional SA dishes, served in a buffet style. With the heart of an ocean and endless love, 'Mama' is one of the most incredible persons to meet. Her captivating personal story will mesmerize you. We never felt unsafe or insecure in the township, and we felt like we were in our own neighborhood. Mzansi is where people of all nations come together as one and share a meal and good time together. <3

This is more than a restaurant, it is an experience never to be forgotten. We were welcomed with open arms by Nomonde and her family and made to feel at home. Before our meal we wandered into the back room and chatted with a local artist who was demonstrating the technique of sand painting. The buffet style dinner offered an amazing variety of delicious food. We enjoyed our meal while listening to a quartet of talented musician from the township playing marimbas, a sax and drums. After a leisurely meal Nomonde told us an inspiring story of her life and how her restaurant came to be.
We left Mzansi with full stomachs, grins ear to ear and warm feelings of a very special evening. I highly recommend.

"You have to risk it to get the biscuit" Is the way i would describe tripadvisor's best restaurant of the city. It is only a short Uber ride to the Langa township, where you will be greeted with live music, open arms and the mouthwatering aroma of traditional South African food. Nomonde, now our South African mama welcomed us in as strangers but leaving as a family. Truly a night that has to be experienced leaving you only wanting more.

If you are after a true heart felt authentic African experience Mzansi wont disappoint you. The food, culture and the story behind how this restaurant started is just incredible. We felt safe and secure the entire time we were there. Please dont let people deter you from going to the small town ship of Langa.

Mzansi was the most heart warming experience surrounded by amazing food, great entertainment and good company. We felt so safe and secure and right at home! Don’t let people’s opinions about the area turn you off going because it isn’t something you’ll regret; an incredible night is guaranteed
