I stayed here with my family for 4 days. Two girls aged 21 & 19 had their own room as did my 15 year old son and my husband and I. We stayed in 3 hotels over the holiday and this one was everyone's favourite. The rooms were beautiful, really well designed and it was obvious a lot of thought had gone into their design and furnishing. The views from our room 3 windows 3 different sides over Capetown to the bay one way onto Table Mountain the other were fantastic. The breakfasts were excellent. Although they don't provide lunch or dinner they were only too happy to recommend and the first night we had a takeaway - they organised it, laid out crockery in the dining room and cleared up afterwards. Nothing was too much trouble and they never seemed too busy to help if we needed anything. Laundry came back the same day beautifully presented. Each night little wrapped chocolates appeared on the pillow and candles were lit in the rooms. The mini bar prices were quite reasonable. As we went in winter we couldn't really make use of the outside terraces and pool but they looked beautiful.

It is impossible to fault Four Rosmead. Nadine, Vicky and the rest of the team ensured that we had a marvellous stay in Cape Town.
The guesthouse is away from the busy Waterfront area and is all the more wonderful for that. We arrived without baggage (lost somewhere between Manchester and Cape Town) and were made to feel as though the house was our own.
Our room overlooked the garden and had wonderful views of Lion's Head and the city - even from the very large shower!. The room had a widescreen TV, Ipod docking station as well as a well stocked minibar, comfortable bed and all the little touches you could think of. Orginal artwork is displayed all over the guesthouse.
Breakfast was of a high standard with a changing hot 'special' every day. There is a residents lounge with fire - welcome on a chilly winter's evening. Our winter visit was too cold to linger outside in the attractive, well designed garden and pool area.
Although there is the possibility of ordering food from local restaurants, we took the advice and suggestions from Nadine and Vicky and had four excellent meals in different areas of Cape Town. The best steaks are to be had at 'Nelson's Eye' less than a mile from Four Rosmead.
With thanks to Nadine our baggage did turn up and we will be back to Cape Town and Four Rosmead again.

This place was a honeymoon suprise and it was absolutely amazing. Beautifully designed, wonderfully friendly staff and great location to explore Cape Town and further afield.

Stayed 3 nights and from the room, to the all the staff, to the wonderful breakfast all excellent. It was my first time to South Africa and what a wonderful start. The staff was so helpful and offered advice each morning at breakfast to helping us decide what to do during our short time in Cape Town. The breakfast was - well anything you could possible want and the most wonderful home made muesli and breads. Will be travelling to Cape Town again this year and would stay no where else except Rosmead.

Nothing at 4 Rosmead strikes you as being truly out of the ordinary apart from the consistency - excellent rooms, superb bathrooms, great breakfasts, helpful staff, good location, stylish interiors. You are made very welcome and nothing is too much effort for the staff, and the whole experience is very pleasant and stress free - the owners have created a very stylish, low-key and relaxing environment for visitors to enjoy Cape Town. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was wonderful. The attention to detail in the rooms is fantastic. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the little extras make this guest house something special. It’s quite hard to describe the attention to detail each room has – you’ll just have to take my word for it! The turn down service was very good and the little information cards with your evening chocolates were a nice touch.

The staffs are very helpful and polite. We arrived very late because of a delayed flight and the staff were fantastic. They gave us a delivery menu and then ordered delivery food for us because we were too late to eat in a restaurant. They even set the breakfast area up for us so we could eat in there. It was very impressive as our first experience. They will also help you book tours and reserve restaurant tables etc.

The breakfast was very good, fresh juices, meats, cheese fruit, cereals and then cooked breakfast as well. The pool area looked very nice and clean but we never used it – too cold (end of October).

Location wise -You’ll need car if you stay here because it is quite far out, but to be fair you need a car in cape town anyway……….. Kloof Street is very close for places to eat but we ended up getting a taxis to the waterfront & camps bay. They weren’t very much. If you add up the cost of the return taxis food and drinks, it’s the same – if not less - than what I’d pay back home.

Totally recommend it – I’d stay here again.

Fantastic guesthouse with views of the Cape Town city and the harbour. Great extra touches such as ipod docking stations and wireless internet. We had a very romantic holiday!

The pool area is lovely. It was a bit cold for swimming in May but lovely for relaxing and working on the tan!
