I had a truly memorable stay at Liberty Lodge during my week-long stay in Cape Town. Initially I was planning on staying around the Camps Bay area but following a friends recommendation I decided to stay at Liberty Lodge in Tamboerskloof and so glad I did! First, I absolutely fell in love with the neighbourhood and fell like a true local. The location of the lodge was excellent, just next the little shops, cafes and restaurants on Kloof street, the beach was less than 10' by car and with easy access to table mountain and lion's head. Additionally, Ruth was a wonderful host and my stay would not have been the same without her. She takes great care of her guests, she's passionately and lively and always ensures her guests make the most of of their stay. There are tons of activities/things to do in CT (one week was not enough for me!) and Ruth would always have recommendations to suit everyone's needs. Last but not least, I would like to thank the girls for the lavish breakfast served in the dining area or terrace every morning, which included fruits, cereals and eggs cooked to serve everyone's taste. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Hi Athina - many thanks for your kind words. I am so pleased you had a good time. You are right, Cape Town has so much to offer that staying two or three days only scratches the surface. Guests who stay longer are able to enjoy exploring the city and experience the Cape Town vibe - the originality of its individually owned shops and cafes, or the music and arts scene. And of course not forgetting natural beauty of the beaches and surrounding countryside. It was lovely to meet you and I look forward to your return. Best wishes - Ruth

We stayed a couple of nights at this charming lodge. Ruth - the owner - is a wonderful person assisting us with great advice where to go, what to see and where to eat. If you are not spoiled by the meanigless luxury of big hotels then Liberty Lodge is the perfect place to stay. It offers everything to feel at home. Situated in a very safe area the lodge offers a splendid view to Signal Hill and the Tafelberg - the city's centre, a lot of fine restaurants and bars are in walking distance. Parking space is available in front of the house.
We enjoyed the familiar athmosphere and keep Ruth in our minds with a warm and tender feeling.

We stayed here for 5 days during high season. It was a wonderful stay with friendly staff and comfortable living. Home away from home may sound cliche but it was exactly that. Highly recommended for couples and a great location for those interested to do day trips in and around the area of Cape Town

We stayed at Liberty Lodge for 6 wonderful nights before our wedding in the winelands. Ruth from the moment we booked was a superstar, offering endless recommendations and suggestions. Nothing was too much trouble and Liberty Lodge was a perfect place to stay. We felt so at home here and loved our room, the location and the gorgeous views off the upstairs balcony. Everything was within easy reach and it was brilliant having so many gorgeous restaurants on our doorstep.

Our stay at the Liberty Lodge was one great experience. The place is very cozy with only a few rooms and the service is very personalized. The owner, Ruth was so accommodating especially since our 3 daughters were with us and they were able to room together. Breakfast was a treat we look forward to every morning. Ruth was so helpful in telling us points of interest and helping us get around. No doubt, we will stay at the Lodge if we have the chance to visit Cape Town again.
