Liberty Lodge is a splendid place to stay in Cape Town. The accommodation is extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts are wonderful. Ruth is very hospitable, and takes a genuine interest in her customers, freely offering advice on places to visit and which restaurants to frequent. The location is relatively quiet and attractive, and there are lots of restaurants and shops within easy reach. Even the Waterfront is in walking distance, although the return journey is perhaps better by taxi, since it is all uphill! All in all, a first-class venue, and very good value for money.

What a great place to stay while in Cape Town! Ruth is very welcoming and on hand if you need anything. Location is great, my friend and I walked to the waterfront and back. It gave us a chance to explore and get our bearings. Kloof and Long street have plenty of shops and restaurants which is just a short walk away. We did not rent a car as it is very easy to get a taxi (haggle for a good price) and also use your feet. If it weren't for our local friends we met up with, Ruth can assist you in booking day tours. Breakfast was delicious, thanks Nita and Lisa! You sit out on the terrace, the weather was great for it. The guesthome and our room was spotless and very comfortable. We felt safe and would come back! Liza and Sherry

Liberty Lodge is a little gem of a place. Centrally located in Cape Town's city bowl, the rooms are neat, pretty and comfortable, the owner is friendly and warm, the breakfasts simple yet delicious, and the service is great. Really worth staying at -- perfect for business trips or holiday.

Room Tip: My favourite room is the double room at the top with the balcony!

The Liberty Lodge was a wonderful B&B and a tremendous value. Ruth, the proprietor, was friendly and tremendously helpful in answering our questions about fun things to do and what to avoid. The Lodge itself was located close enough to the Central Business District to visit but in a quieter neighborhood with plenty of neat restaurants. It had stunning views of Table Mountain from the rooms themselves and the first floor terrace. Breakfast was on the ground floor terrace every morning. The amenities were excellent, especially in light of the outstanding value.

I recently visited Cape Town(27/12/2011-03/01/2012) with my friend, first time, and stayed at the above mentioned B&B. Ruth, the hostess was warm, welcoming and friendly. The place is breathtaking, the decor is exquisite and what you see on the internet its what you get.Ruth was very helpful with everything....things to do and places to go.Lisa and Anita, the staff that helps Ruth out, u guys were amazing, made our stomachs full everymorning with your delicious breakfast. I'm shedding off the kilos i gained at the gym now. The Location was convenient and close to all the attraction we wanted to see. I'm definately coming back soon.

Liberty lodge is the perfect place to stay in if u r visiting cape town......The great view and the best location. Ruth's recommendation of the places to visit and her cooperation makes it even more good. Nita's mouth watering breakfast in the backyard makes it so cozy and not even for a single minute you feel as if you are not at your own home.....everything is in close proximity...including eating places and coffee shops........The breath taking view of the table mountain is right in front of your eyes even if you are lying in your bed...I will definitely recommend this to all who are planning to visit cape town.....Thank you Ruth for mVking my trip to cape town more memorable...

Room Tip: Rhodes is the best one with a marvelloux view..........
