We loved our weekend here - the staff were so helpful, with special thanks to Karin for her warm welcome and orientation to Cape Town. The room was very comfortable, and having a mobile phone provided for our use was a great touch. Breakfast was delicious, too. The walk along the shoreline to the V&A Waterfront in the afternoon was lovely.

Slightly delayed review (so clearly the fond memories stuck around!). My husband and I spent a week at Blackheath Lodge earlier this year and were blown away by the wonderful service the staff provided. Everyone was kind and helpful. The lodge was clean and well cared for. We can't say enough about it. We have referred friends to stay here on a future trip to Cape Town.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival early in the morning and were pleasantly surprised when we were told we could check-in early to our room.
All the staff were genuinely hospitable & friendly (thanks Riano and team) - it’s always nice to be greeted by name whenever we were down for breakfast or back from a day out exploring.
Breakfast was delicious - loved the pastries (the croissants are to die for!) and home made jam.
Our room was fairly large but cosy and the lodge was in a good location within Cape Town. There were lots of lovely small touches such as:
1) being given an overview of Cape Town upon arrival with useful tips on sights to see, places to eat, where not to venture once it gets dark, etc
2) the provision of a free phone during our stay which had been preloaded with phone numbers of reputable cab companies for us to call if we needed one
3) a free snacks corner

We had a lovely stay and would recommend Blackheath Lodge to our friends.

Dear Holidaysprite,

Thank you for your most valued feedback. We loved hosting your family. We love to accommodate our guests with an early check in after a long flight.

The home made jam is a firm favourite.

We spent five nights at this charming, cosy, warm and friendly bed and breakfast boutique hotel, conveniently located within walking distance to the V & A and many restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and have all the basic amenities; but what distinguishes this hotel is its superb personal, warm and friendly service.
All the staff we encountered went out of their way to ensure our stay was a positive and memorable one. For example, the hotel does not normally provide dinner, but for three of the nights when we were not up to going out after a long day of sightseeing, Godfrey prepared delicious three course meals for us on short notice. Now that's service!
Special thanks to Karen, Raiano and Godfrey. You rock!

I had the pleasure of staying at Blackheath Lodge this month 5 years after my last visit. I’m happy to report this visit was just as memorable as my previous one. Karin and her staff are incredible. Always willing to go the extra mile to help. From spontaneous dinners to tours they make life for the guests totally relaxing.
This is a great boutique hotel with a comfortable relaxed vibe and a great location close to all the Cape Town sights.
