“Friendly,tranquil,relaxing,great service,can't wait to return”
Reviewed March 10, 2009

This guest house is one of the most freindly, peaceful, relaxing and unique places we have ever stayed having travelled extensively throughout the world over a number of years.
The location is a great, walk just 2 minutes to the shops, bars, and restaurants of Seapoint or if your feeling energetic stroll to Camps Bay or the Waterfront.
Antony,John,Lisa JC and the crew are the most friendly helpful hosts you could hope for.
Always on hand to recommend restaurants, tourist attractions, trips out of cape town, you name it they can advise you on it.
One evening Antony arranged the chef to serve a superb home made dinner for 20 guests where the local wine was flowing and a great evening was had by all.
The breakfasts are so relaxing on the lovely balcony over looking the gorgeous enclosed gardens and pool area that you won't want to leave .You can easily chill for an hour or so indulging in homemade breads, quiches,or have your eggs cooked to order.
After a hard day on the beach up table mountain handgliding off Lions Head or shopping at the waterfront ,you are greeted by JC or the team roffering a chilled glass of wine on the balcony..Bliss
The rooms are great this is our second visit to Blackheath the first time for 3 weeks and this time 2 weeks.Room f4 is huge with a large kingsize bed tastefully decorated with antique and african artifacts.
The cleaning service is of an extremly high standard and the laundry service impeccable.
This gem of a place is a real find with no negatives to report whatssoever.
Antony and the team are fantastic hosts paying so much attention to detail in all aspects of their accomodation and service.
We will definately be returning again next year for another fantastic friendly relaxing and hassle free holiday!

A wonderful place to stay. We experienced a unique atmosphere of service, friendliness and eagerness to make us feel welcomed and to help us have the best possible vacation. Antony and John must love their job, and this love seems to transform into the whole atmosphere for the guests.

It was a terrible mistake - just to stay one night in this lovely city B&B Lodge. Just a five minunte drive away from the V&A Waterfront was perfect to start our South Africa Trip. The decoration is done with so much love and also a sense of humor. Our room en suite was spacious. The lodge is located in a small quiet side road.
The lodge arranged for us also the transport from and to the airport. That worked perfectly.

Fabulous place to stay. Rooms clean and bright. Nothing too much trouble for the staff.
Everything about the hotel is to be recommended. You are looked after from the moment of arrival to the moment of your departure. Transfers booked through the hotel are totally reliable and great value for money. We wil certainly return to the "Blackheath"

Called up this hotel at short notice after other plans went awry. Anthony, one of the owners was extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. I stayed in "the overflow room" as it was almost full, which was small but well decorated, though it has to be said the other rooms were nicer. More of a quality B&B than a hotel - but what it did offer was top class. Playstation in my room, DVD library, excellent decor, simple breakfast, honesty bar ... really refreshing break and great VFM.

Absolutely wonderful experience!

Our group of 12 made the Blackheath Lodge our headquarters while touring the Capetown area. This was our first trip to South Africa, and we were very fortunate to have been booked at the Blackheath Lodge.

Anthony and his staff are the best hospitality experts I have ever experienced. Their expertise is honest, authentic and real. In addition, all of their advice and touring recommendations exceeded any expectations.

My wife and I hope to return to South Africa and the Blackheath Lodge soon.
