“Great time at Cape Cadogan”
Reviewed April 25, 2011

The staff was terrific, helpful and very friendly. For us, the location was perfect. We especially liked walking to Miller's Thumb for dinner. The Saigon was also very good for dinner. We enjoyed a lovely room with a charming small private terrace on the ground floor Location was central, and we were happy not to be at the Waterfront. Lovely house, excellent security. Thanks for recognizing our anniversary with bubbly and a rose strewn bed. Highly recommended. A great start to our SA trip.

A tiny, perfect hotel featuring supernaturally friendly staff. Close enough to everything that matters (except the V&A Waterfront; you'll need a cab.)

Room Tip: Room 2 on the main floor has a private courtyard

Because Cape Cadogan is a small boutique hotel I felt extremely pampered. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and to attend to any need. The breakfast buffet was over the top - not only could you eat what was displayed but you could order anything you wanted. One evening we were very tired and ordered our dinner in. The hotel set a table in the court yard with tablecloth , candles, wine and dinner was transferred to dinner plates. It was lovely. ( I was expecting to dine in my room from styrofoam boxes.) The location was ideal. We were within walking distance to many attractions and a short cab ride to the middle of town. I left my camera charger and immediately they sent it. I will definitely stay there when we return to Cape Town. Our thanks to the staff and owners of the Cape Cadogan.

4/6/11 We stayed at Cape Cadogan from 3/25-3/29/11. We had a corner suite with an excellent balcony view of Table Mountain. The accomidations and breakfast were excellent(dinner and lunch were not part of our package). The staff(particularly Henrietta) were very friendly and most helpful. The location was in a quiet residential area and convenient to shopping although a little far from the wharf(about a 30 minite walk). All in all a pleasant experience. Bruce and Susan Miller

Room Tip: ask for a corner suite I believe we had #8

We enjoyed coming back to our comfortable and spacious room. The bathroom was gorgeous with huge shower and tub, double sinks and a little private courtyard. The breakfasts were generous and relaxing. We especially loved all the space for our clothing and luggage. The staff was so pleasant and helpful and all the common rooms were welcoming and comfortable.

Room Tip: Be specific if you want a room away from the road.

The luxury rooms at this boutique hotel are a real treat - the attention to detail in the decor - the bedding, the delicious cup cakes in the lounge and nougat at bedtime are a delight to the senses. Kloof St. remains one of my favourite areas in CT - it is trendy with a delightful spa close by - Cape town Medi Spa - they have a real flotation tank - 021.422-5140, you are close to the waterfront and CBD - just a step away from the touristic hub -cabs are affordable and accessible -

We stayed at the Cape Cadogan on the last leg of our trip to South Africa to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We thought we had stayed at the best hotels and lodges during our trip but the Cape Cadogan was exceptional. All of the staff were courteous and helpful and the room was lovely with a view of Table Mountain. The situation of the hotel was ideal and we saw all the sights that we had on our list with no problem at all. It was very useful to have the use of another room after check out as we were not being picked up to go to the airport until early evening and we were able to shower and change before our trip home. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
