Abbey Manor has excellent service, beautiful rooms and they are perfectly located!

That together with a great breakfast makes them a perfect choice for a getaway in
the heart of Cape Town.

We use them for a romantic getaway to the mother city.

I have been to Cape Town many times and have generally stayed in one of the bigger hotels. In this instance, and due to the number of us going on holiday together, we stayed at Abbey Manor. It was the right choice. Judi and everyone else went out of their way to make our trip special as well as to help us with any reservations needed or suggested activities.

The hotel itself is impeccable with beautiful and unique furniture and decor. Also, the breakfast is awesome! I will definately be staying there again on my next trip and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the two rooms on the top floor which have their own living room and large balcony wit...

We have just spent five nights in this beautiful guest house. Our room had windows on two sides which overlooked Table Mountand and Lions Head. The bed was very large and so comfortable, the bathroom was huge and well stocked. We also had a decked terrace for our own use which was brilliant. There is a wonderful deli on the corner so you can grab a take out to have in your room after a long busy day out. Judi looked after us extremely well every day; she helped with recommending when and where to go and booking tickets for us in advance. Breakfast choices will please any taste, and can be eaten by the pool if the wind is not too strong. Nothing was too much trouble and we were quite sad to leave this lovely place. It is about 3 kms to walk to the waterfront which is a nice walk through the company gardens or just a few rand in a taxi which Judi or Mike organised for us most nights. I would certainly go back tho Abbey Manor.

Room Tip: We had room 4 but from what we could see all of the rooms looked fantastic.

We spent four wonderful nights at Abbey Manor, at the start of our African honeymoon. Judi and Sam couldn't have been anymore accommodating and helpful in coming up with suggestions and organising excursions and car hire for us, it made our time in Cape Town very relaxing and extremely enjoyable.

The accommodation itself was certainly 5 star with the rooms being very well furnished and the beds being extremely comfortable. There is a good spread at breakfast, with lots to choose from, eating breakfast out by the pool in the morning is definitely a bonus.

We also had a fabulous trip out to the winelands with David Bristow that I would highly recommend!

Don't hesitate in booking, we would certainly come back.

We started our 2 week trip in South Africa with a three night stay at this lovely guesthouse. We were there over Christmas. In spite of the holiday, we were looked after with great attention by Judi and Samantha. We were helped with numerous phone calls, organising excursions, reconfirming existing plans. Nothing was too much trouble. Super breakfasts, and delicious bread (homemade?).

The rooms were very comfortable--very good quality mattress which is always a concern for me as I have a slightly dodgy back. Lovely bed linen. Tasteful furnishings, and a beautiful bathroom with lots of room to unpack your clutter!

Would highly recommend.

Arriving at this lovely Inn, we were warmly welcomed by the Innkeeper, Judi, and her assistant, Samantha. Our room was well appointed and extremely comfortable. The staff at the Inn accommodated our every wish and guided us to delightful excursions and delicious restaurants. We hated to leave!

I continue coming back to Abbey Manor year after year because of the warmth of the proprietors and the beauty of the house. Judi treats me (and other guests, from what I can tell) like family, which is a quality difficult to find in any guesthouse owner. Breakfast hours extend to 10am, which also allows for a bit of a lie-in compared to some other places where it ends at 9am on weekdays. The rooms are impeccable and each has its own special features. I prefer to stay on the top floor although the rooms are slightly smaller. Some of the second floor rooms can be loud if your neighbours knock on doors and greet each other in the hallway early in the morning.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor if you want quiet, especially if you can book both rooms.
