If you a table of six and you hoping to have a nice conversation then this is not the restaurant for you. This is unfortunate as the food is really good.

First impact is of a cool asian restaurant, with typical walls of wood, dimmed lights , and wooden furniture . The menu and the food were very inviting, I would have tried everything, but while exchanging comments about the choices we realized how difficult is to speak! Even if we were seating close it was impossible to understand each other if not by screaming. Very unpleasant . And it's a pity for such good food. Only remark would be that the menu recalls the exact same dishes of other popular restaurants of Cape Town like Willoughby and Wafu

I recently had an amazing lunch at Koi, Bantry Bay on my annual holiday to Cape Town. Having noticed how restaurant standards have dropped, my faith was restored in the industry, as Koi rose to the occasion. Staff were friendly and extremely attentive, they had extensive product knowledge and were able to offer suggestions. Top class wine list that kept us staying longer than intended. As for the food: Simply amazing, all dishes were not only full of flavour, but perfectly cooked as well. The best part was the beautiful views which could keep you there for hours on the perfect summer day we visited. I will definitely be recommending Koi to friends and will visit again, when next in Cape Town.

On a rainy and windy day in Cape Town was this a wonderful place to have lunch while looking out over the ocean. Very few setting can beat this one.
The food was excellent: I had chicken wontons and and my husband had the most wonderful calamari. This was washed down with some very delicious cocktails.
My char-grilled fillet was absolutely delicious and so was the peking duck and lamb shanks. Portions were generous but well presented.
