Did the sunset half-price trip, great value, spectacular views. Take a picnic and don't forget a warm jersey as it can get chilly.

I did wonder what the ascent would be like. No worries, quick, efficient, revolving so we could take in the views, no jolts just a smooth ride to the top.

Parking the car at the bottom of the cable car station was a mega problem but, in the end, the very friendly and outgoing parking attendants proved their worth. Make sure you give them a small tip (R20) they will make sure you find your car on the journey back, or help you out.
We found the cable car ticket price a bit on the expensive side however, cable car travel is anything but cheap elsewhere in the world - especially Switzerland! Packed like sardines into the gondola, we set off at reasonable speed, making one revolution on the way - great! everybody on board can take decent snap shots on the way up (or down). What's the alternative? A long, arduous climb taking several hours, among baboons, goats, dassies and other wildlife:))

The queuing can be a pain at peak times, but it's a fun experience. And as the floor revolves inside you wil always get a good view on the two minute ride.

Amazing experience with views to die for. Lots of info and lookout points at the top.
Only downside, as expected the shop at the top is VERY expensive (a bottle of wine that will cost you about R40 in a normal shop costs R140 here) and with a disappointing selection.
