“Home away from home!”
Reviewed February 8, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Staying at this lovely B&B was more than we ever expected. It is in a neighbourhood within walking distance of Camps Bay. Very close to the beach. Very quiet. Gorgeous rooms with comfortable beds. Barry and Chrissy made us feel so welcome. They also gave us lots of tips and information on what to see and do. It really was like staying with family. Breakfast was a superb spread of delicious choices, eggs, breads, cheese plate, fruit salad, coffee, tea, whatever you wanted. It was very relaxed and we could come and go as we pleased and eat breakfast at the hour that suited us.
If I were to come back, and I hope to, this would be my #1 pick.

“Feeling like home in Camps Bay”
Reviewed May 9, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The beautifully furnished house is located about 2 min walking distance to the beach front where you can have the most amazing sundowners, should you ever get tired of sitting on the stunning terrace/balcony of the house.

The house itself if facing Lions Head which gives you a spectacular view as well.

Bedrooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. You can feel that the house is in fact a private home, not just a place to rent it out and make money.

Chrissie and Barry, the owners, are fantastic hosts. They make you feel home and being part of the family and can give you real insider tips on places to go and things to do in the area.

Overall an absolutely great experience, highly recommended to anybody is looking for a location to simply chill out as much as for people looking for a "Base Camp" to explore the beauty of the Cape region.

“Luxury, views and great sense of humor”
Reviewed April 18, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

My husband and I took my cousin and his daughter on their first trip to SA. We decided to stay at Camps Bay as it's a beautiful place in Cape Town and the owner Barry made the booking procedure very easy.

We didn't know exactly what to expect but without doubt It was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The views are great, it's a walking distance from the beach, walking distance to public transport, walking distance to restaurants... Your car is parked securely- there is even a night guard.
To top it of the owners are fantastic - they spoil you with a 5 star breakfast (and it really is 5 star quality), amazing stories, great sense of humor (Barry is a comedian) and tips to where to go, what to see, where to eat...
AMAZING!!!!

“Thanks for all your hospitality and making our visit to Cape Town most enjoyable in your Bakoven suite”
Reviewed January 23, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

The service we experienced was world-class and we loved the private entrance and the fact that we had access to all the amenities we required. The location is a hidden jewel in that we walked from Bakoven, along the Camps Bay beach up the hill to the Glen and through Clifton to Bantry Bay and then back to enjoy a few cold beer and food at one of the many Camps Bay restaurants overlooking the Atlantic. Thanks to Barry for a most memorable healthy breakfast which included coffee and mineral water, fresh fruit salad and cereal, fantastic range of cheeses and biscuits and then the highlight for me, fried onions, tomatoes, chili, garlic, and eggs on toast – absolutely brilliant.

“Oustanding hospitality, beautiful place”
Reviewed March 14, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Barry and Chrissie gave us and our children such a warm welcome from the moment we arrived, right up until Chrissie personally delivered the keys we left behind to us at the airport! They were great to the kids and enjoyed their company. The rooms are beautiful, they have excellent taste and the design is original. We originally booked two rooms but they suggested that we could fit in one with extra beds - this worked well for us with small kids, but parents that want more space should rent both rooms. The rooms are next door in a private secure courtyard, so it would be easy for the kids to safely come to their parents room if needed. The breakfast was really good and Barry even gave me a BBQ steak after I wandered in exhausted from the Cape Argus bike race.

Camps bay is incredibly beautiful and very close by, there is also a smaller beach near the house. The scenery from camps bay is absolutely breathtaking and there are lots of excellent places to eat and drink. Great access to cape town and down towards cape point in the other direction, a very short drive up to table mountain.

We would definitely go back another time and would fully recommend this accommodation and the hospitality we received.
