After descending down the great number of steps from road level to the beach one can soon start to unwind. If you have become a little hot from making your way down putting a toe, or if youre brave a bit more of yourself, in the ice cold water will soon have that sorted. The sand is white and inviting and the backdrop of the large rocks adds plenty of atmosphere. It is also sheltered, so while the wind may be howling in other parts of the Cape Peninsula, you will not be sandblasted at Clifton.

A great place for a swim, stroll, eating and just soaking up the atmosphere. The beauty of it you can either hop on or off as often as you like depending how long you want to stay either by the red or blue bus.

the famous 4 beaches of clifton in cape town, south africa, are world known! the sand is soft and silky, the water, ice cold. the girls in their tiny bikini's - the most beautiful in the world - long limbed and leggy, gorgeous bodies, glistning under the blazing african sun - the men, not to shabby either!!
4th beach is the family beach - wow! jam packed in summer - too many people, and not enough sand!
the smell of food at lunch time is lip smaking good, as the families unpack their hampers, and tuck in to their home packed lunches. some do deli packed as well!
once again, silky soft sand, warmer water, and lots and lots of blazing sun.
cover up, use your sunscream, get fit, to walk up and down the many stairs, bring lots of money, to hire a chair and umbrella, and to buy ice cream, water and cold drinks at ridiculous prices, and sit back and relax!
remember the camera, and bribe the children r5 each time they photograph a beautiful, topless young lady, and you are in for the time of your life!!
please international guests - if you have been to the french rivera, you ain't seen nothing yet!
clifton is unique, with the bright bly sky, the sun shining down, spreading all the good vitimin d around you, and the spectacular mountains surround you, and shelter you from any wind!
please do not litter our beautiful beaches - there are ample garbage bins arround to hold the rubbish.
you haven't lived until you have lain on one of clifton's 4 beaches - cape town welocmes you all warmly - enjoy!

World-class and wind-free especially from the summer South Easter! Nothing beats these beaches on a perfect summer's day!
