“Loved our experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

We loved this guest home. The room was comfortable, the bed was great, and the bathroom was newly rennovated. We were traveling with our adult son, so the community spaces mattered to us and they were large, welcoming, comfortable and very lovely. The owners were on site every day, and we found them to be very knowledgable about the the area, activities, tours, etc. Also very organized in helping us with bookings and confirmations. The home is located in a residential area, so it was very quiet at night, yet safe for walking. The home is just several blocks from a number of very good restaurants and the sightseeing bus stop. The breakfast was very good, with lots of cold options and hot options were made to your specifications. Just a really great place to stay.

We could not have been more comfortable. We recently spent 5 days at this charming guest house in a very conveniently located neighborhood and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The accommodations were excellent, the staff friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Décor was impressive. At first we expected that parking might be an issue, but we never had any difficulty finding ample spaces within a half block, and usually much closer. Numerous great restaurants within walking distance. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Our family had a lovely 6 night stay. Everything is seamless and the atmosphere is calm. The staff are warm and very on the ball. Breakfast is spot on. There are several really good restaurants (e.g. Miller's Thumb) within walking distance.
Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed the ambience and hospitality of this lovely guest house. The staff were very attentive and thorough, and provided great insights into the Cape Town area and South Africa. The common rooms were spacious, very tastefully furnished, and inviting to hang out in for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. We stayed in a triple guest room that was very comfortable and surprisingly large with an equally spacious bathroom. The breakfast was awesome with a variety of cold options and excellent hot breakfast choices. This guest house also offered some extra touches that we appreciated. For example, sweet treats (cookies, cake) were set out in the kitchen in the afternoon/evening for guests to snack on; the housekeeping staff refilled the teapot in the room each day so all you had to do was plug it in; and at checkout they gave us a little box of cookies that was much appreciated on our long journey home.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on our first trip to Cape Town. We could not have made a better choice. The location is lovely, in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to all the Cape Town central main attractions -- Table Mountain, Robben Island and the waterfront, the Kirschenbosch Gardens and others. Our room was very comfortable, the living rooms are lovely, there is a great breakfast and so many other small touches that reflect the 4 owners attention to the quality of a guest's experience. They introduced us to a marvelous guide, Yaseen from Discovery Tours, who gave us a day we will not forget and wonderful sense of Cape Town and Cape of Good Hope. We will stay here again on our next visit, without a doubt.

I highly recommend this beautiful, pleasant oasis. My wife and I stayed 2 nights and the accommodations, breakfasts and staff couldn't have been nicer. If and when we come back to Cape Town we will certainly stay here again.

This Villa is much more than that! It is in fact three houses which are part of a Victorian terrace dating from 1892. The double story houses have been joined together and so the inside spaces are much larger than the facade suggests. It's like walking into a TARDIS someone has written on Tripadvisor! There are 12 rooms and the hotel is owner managed.Location is vital when choosing a spot for you vacation and this more than a Villa is within an easy walk of all tourist attractions in the city area. The others (like the fabulous beaches) are a short taxi ride away. There is a small plunge pool in a peaceful courtyard where a very full breakfast is served in summer. (In winter there's a sociable dining room and an eco-friendly fire blazing). Your hosts are very careful to offer you as much information as you want and they will arrange car rental, restaurant reservations, tours etc. As required.Free internet on 2 computers in a library area and wireless access is available in all rooms. At night the night porter will set out complimentary sherry and port and at other times there is an honesty bar and guest fridge in the kitchen. Parking is on street and there is no charge (street guards patrol) but you should not need a car from this well placed hotel. ... more   less
