“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014

What an unexpected little treasure! Popped in to buy a few treats and ended up trying the beer with hubby and decorating our own cookies (baked while you wait) with my son. Our planned 20 minute visit ended up being an hour and a half! Budget friendly and tasty! Great to come across a place that doesnt just focus on foreign tourists! Affordable for locals too!

“From pancakes to oysters”

The permanent market is a wonderful alternative to informal dining in the V&A area. A wide variety of cuisines are on offer. The quality of the products are excellent, mostly freshly made while you are watching. They also have local produce to take with you such as spices, jams and much more.

A true delight

“Outstanding Variety Of Foods/Beverages”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013

The V&A Market is a small and permanent market located on the wharf that has a lot to offer. They have all the cuisines one could ever think of-Indian, Seafood, Savouries and so much more. Walking through the market gives you a full range of possible foods to eat and buy. I recommend this market to anyone visiting V&A.

“Great place to pick up a tasty & cheap lunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2013

We popped into this lovely foodie heaven to pick up something for a lunchtime snack. Everything from Thai to Sushi, cakes to wraps. We had some delicious wraps, filled with rare steak, feta cheese & baby leaves. A very tasty bargain at 50 Rand!

“You must try the smoothies and cup cakes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013 via mobile

We wandered in to this market while looking around the waterfront and found an oasis of food and drink. The smoothie stall is a must, with lots of choice but at only R30 for a large smoothie it was packed. Next door is the cupcake stand which my husband loved. There are loads of different food stalls, all at reasonable prices and with seating outside to enjoy the food with a view.
