“Fun place for a strowl and meal”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

We visited this market three times while in Cape Town. Open till 7pm at night it has a wide selection of delicious eating options and lots of free tastes too. There is a bar upstairs to buy a drink with your food. You can sit outside too. Loved it.

“Fantastic Experience, A must if you in that part of town - A Foodie Heaven”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

I braved the crowds on Sunday the 30th Dec 2012 and went through to see what all the fuss was about. The venue is fantastic and there is a abundance of cuisines from all over the world. I had a great cappuccino from the Origin Coffee stand, the chap behind serving was ever so friendly and all smiles despite being alone and a queue forming. Mom and me went back for a second cuppa before we left for home as it was so good. We also took home a take away lamb curry from Durban's Finest Curry - wow, when I got home being a chef I had to have a sneak taste before dinner. I felt like I was right back in good old Durban. What flavour and the meat so tender. I was well impressed with all. The stands are all busy with people munching on goodies. You kind of have a European feeling wandering around, remember there is a bar upstairs and also a few other places. We almost missed that it had a upstairs as its not really marked out to well. If you in the area at The V & A Waterfront, take a trip through the market. I am sure you will find something you like.

“You're in Cape Town...you gotta go!”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

It's one of those places that is a must see if you're in Cape Town. There are tons of restaurants and shops. The mall is enormous with every retail store you can imagine. It's also a good place to exchange money (don't forget your passport).

“Doing the Tourist Thing !”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

This is an excellent market with a wide rsange of goods on offer. The stall holders generally have a story to tell and it's great when you know some of your purchases are actually supporting disenfranchised sections of the community. Will certainly vist here on my next trip to Cape Town.
