we have been twice to Giulia's Restaurant. First time we were impressed by the excellent dinner , fresh pasta and fresh seafood, excellent wine and dessert .
Amazingly after almost two weeks we returned and found everything even better. Maurizio, the friendly owner and his lovely wife Alessia and Chef Andrea take pride in making this small Restuarant the best possible. They are tenacious and courageous. They have immigrated from Italy recently.
Guilia's is a Must for those who like real good Italian food.

During our recent holiday in Capetown we went two times to Giulia Restaurant; the first time by chance, the second one by choice.
Excellent real Italian food (Andrea, the Chef, comes from Livorno, Tuscany),home-made pasta, uncomparable desserts and a good selection of wines.
Maurizio, the owner, makes you feel at home immediately and if you' re like you'll also meet his lovable wife Alessia.
One more suggestion: when reserving your table at Giulia, do not miss to ask Andrea to prepare for you the "torta Giulia", the most delicious dessert I've eaten sofar!

Having just arrived in Cape Town after 36 hours in the air, we happened upon Giulia's and went in for dinner. Host/owner greeted us warmly and young woman server (from Zimbabwe) was pleasant and professional. Wonderful abbreviated but comprehensive menu -everything sounded scrumptious. We shared baked mussels as an appetizer and had seafood lasagna and seafood gnocchi as entrees. Fabulous and authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. Who would have thought we could have such a gourmet experience outside of Italy (or NY)!

Right from the amuse bouche you know you’ve come to the right place for beautifully prepared, beautifully presented, fresh, quality food. Just to be on the safe side, start with a dessert. Take the millefeuille or the torta Guilia. Or both. But don’t miss the home-made pasta, the delicately seasoned calamari or the grilled beef served with superb roast potatoes. A slightly lighter but nevertheless substantial option is the wonderful zuppetta di mare. Well-chosen wines, a balanced selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and always a daily special. Attentive management (still beaming with pride), efficient, charming service. A pleasant outdoor dining area and space for smokers. Car drivers should check whether there’s anything on at the nearby stadium and, if so, ask about road closures, parking and possibly alternative modes of transport.

We are surprised about this restaurant , the food was delicious , fresh ingredients, fresh menù and great food presentation. The Chef is from Tuscany and the owner from Milan. There were 3 of us for dinner and we ate , two starters ( sformatino di broccoli & involtino di pancetta) absolutely delicious and two main course ( gamberoni al sale & catch of day al cartoccio) The taste was crazy, I can remember the smell of cartoccio... For dessert I suggest the 'millefoglie and torta Giulia'... We have to go back soon... I can't wait to try the new plates!
